Amity University Kolkata is one of the best colleges providing B. Tech in Artificial intelligence. The campus is fabulous, the facilities we get here are amazing. The Admission process was also very smooth and we were in touch with college representatives all the time. I compared many colleges and Amity turned out to be the best of all
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose AI as my subject because it was a new and attractive subject, even in IITs. AI is used in all the technical fields now and has a lot of scopes. I joined Amity University in 2019 and we were the 1st batch of AI here. Although we faced some issues, the faculty members are always there to help us out. Most of the faculty members are PhD holders. Amity is very up to date with technology. Attendance, timetable, student performance, faculty feedback everything takes place online. Students are always surrounded by projects and tests. Apart from the two main exams (mid-sem and end-sem), several class tests, quizzes, etc takes place throughout the year to keep track of students' performance.
Internships Opportunities :
Amity University Kolkata provides internships to each and every student in their 3rd year. I'm a 2nd-year student, so I have not participated in any of the internships but I have taken part in off-campus internships.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year. Amity follows a centralized campus placement. So, most of the placements take place at Amity University Noida. Nearly 60-70% of people get placed in good companies. Some opt for off-campus placements as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The normal fee structure starts from 100500 Rs +20000Rs security for the 1st semester. The fee increases by 5000 Rs at every odd semester. The total study cost is approximately 860000Rs for 4 years. Apart from that, there are great scholarship programs for the 1st year. Many students get 25%or 50% scholarships depending on their 12th percentage. The highest-scoring students also get special scholarships. Students need not buy any books as sufficient notes and pdfs' is provided by the faculty members. The college Library is also great.
Campus Life :
The campus life is amazing, It's like a movie, to be real. There are glass buildings, fully air-conditioned. There are 3 cafes and an ambitheatre inside the campus. Classes are wonderful and fully equipped with projectors and charging ports. The food is very good and not expensive at all. The location of the University is pretty good. There are multiple clubs and events that take place throughout the year. "Sangathan" is the most famous sports event conducted by Amity. We have multiple others like "Amiphoria", etc. The college campus is very lively with people from all over India ( even outside India), with all kinds of talents. From music composers to sports person, from national level dancers to app developers, everyone will be there in a group. The library is huge and great. Everything is available there. There is a gym, in-door sports activity room inside the campus. And best of all - it is just on the opposite side of the new 'Indian Coffee House.'
Interview Experience :
Students can get admission to Amity University Kolkata in 3 ways. 1. If they have scored more than 90% inboards, they get direct admission. 2. Students can give amity entrance exam and face the interview. 3. Based on the JEE/ WBJEE/ NEET performance. As I scored above 90% in 12th, I had to appear for an interview and I got selected.
