Entrance Preview :

My batch has direct interview between Head of the department and aspirent as per the 12th percentage. As I have scored more than 60 percent so I had faced direct interview with panel, which was more about of communication skills and general awareness. IMS provides degree course in BA (hons) mass communication from central university (HNB).

Yes, as per every student field and interest. It cost from 10,000/- to 20,000/- (as per the interest in field and knowledge).

Placement Experience :

The placement process strives for a best fit between the students and the companies and helps both these stakeholders make informed choices. University maintains an unbeaten placement record. What also sets apart the University is its ability that it allows the students to explore a diverse set of functions, roles and career paths.

Exam Structure :

As mass Communication is not limited to journalism alone. To a great extent mass media is a modern reality which covers all aspects of human life. Moreover, a great change can be observed in the concept of people working in mass media. Careers in Mass Communication are not only high paying but also bring in a great deal of job satisfaction and expression of creativity .

Admission :

I have applied online and admission is purely based on merit as they have only 40 seats. Final list of applicants will be called by college faculty for interview and as per the performance applicant will be selected for the same course.

Faculty :

IMS Unison provides highly qualified faculty which guide students not only in their particular course but also help to groom students' personality & communication. The faculty has a good linkage with the Media world and a great number of the students work with the industry to gain on-job experience before joining the profession.

Campus placement is very good. But I will not avail that because I want to do masters in my course. The companies like Aptara, Indigo, Utkarsh Small Finance Bank,Celebi Airport Services and many more companies like this and so many students had availed the opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of my interest. This is actually a practical course but in this college. We never had good practical sessions and took only theory classes. The subject curriculum is very poor, subjects that are not related to our course are fixed in our curriculum example Economics, Environmental Studies, etc.

In the last year which is from the 5th sem, a student can apply for placement in different segments. There are many companies which came to the college like HCL, ICICI Bank, Tata etc Almost 80% of the students get selected for the placement where 3 lakh is the basic starting package which goes to 10 lakh per annum. My plan is to get a job after my degree.

From 5-6 semesters students become eligible for placements depending on different courses. 5-10 companies visit the journalism department and almost 50-60 offers are made. The highest package was 20 lakh and the average package is 5 lakh. Almost 70% of students get placed. I am planning on doing post-graduation after this.
