Entrance Preview :
Exam taken : AIEEE, All India Rank 25429 (OBC). Got Chemical Engineering branch at the first place and this college is one of the best colleges for Chemical Engineering in whole of North India because of Gujarat's extensively spread textile factories.
Internships Opportunities :
No, College does not provide any internship. However it does provide summer training in campus itself. Many students get recommendation from professors for summer training in various government firms and agencies. Overall experience was quite good and healthy in educational point of view.
Placement Experience :
Placements are good. This college holds the record of maximum placements in Gujarat. Almost 80% students get placed at the end of the terms. From Big software companies like Flipkart, Amazon and snapdeal to mass recruiters IBM and Infosys visit there. Placements are best in Chemical Engineering in this college.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure was feasible in our time but now it has increased. In our time it was 17500 for even semester and 20000 for odd semester. So whole engineering in 1.5 Lakh. I think now it has been increased to 35000 per semester, making it 2.8 Lakh in total. Hostel fee is around 40k per year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Scholarships are provided to students with poor financial background. Interviews are taken by faculties and dean welfare and every year some 50-70 students of each year are given scholarships.
Campus Life :
Gender ratio is stable in most of the branches except Civil and Mechanical Engineering as every other college. But as a whole it is almost good. Every branch has its 'student chapter' that provides its students a platform for working, competing, and growing. Cultural groups are Drama group CHRD, Drishti for Research.
Alumni/Alumna :
Yes, From past three years, Alumni network is working actively. A committee is formed every year to reach out to pass out students. And as per past experience, they are helpful and guide students whenever in need.
Exam Structure :
Written Exams are held twice a semester. One is mid term of 30 marks and one is end term for 100 marks. Exams are chill. Practical tests are also there with the written exams. 2 Exams in a whole semester is not a big deal, right ? The total marks considered is 100, 30 from mid sem, 50 from end sem, 10 from practicals and 10 from attendance. And passing marks are 33, making it too easy to save you from flunking.
Admission :
That time in 2011, CCB(Central Counselling Board) used to allot colleges through AIEEE Ranks to students. I got allotted this college in 5th round of Central Counselling Board's counselling process. After that I visited to college and handed over the CCB's letter to Admin building. Got a branch slide up in next year to Civil Engineering.
Faculty :
Professors in the college are well experienced and helping in nature. All the professors are PhD in their subject. Some of them are involved into research and others are involved in government consultancy projects making it easy for students to go through their documents for reference.
