Remarks

The best thing about this college is its infrastructure both for academic-related things and other co-curricular activities. Right now the college is following a common entrance examination for enrollment in all the UG courses known as AUSAT (Alliance University Scholastic Aptitude Test) followed by a personal interview. The first date of this examination is on 24th January 2021, then it will be held once in the months of February, March, April, and May each. During my admission, the process was quite different. I gave ACLAT (Alliance Common Law Admission Test) followed by a personal interview. My reason for this choosing this college over others is because I got a very warm welcome during the selection process, the environment was good and the primary reason was I wanted to shift to Bangalore and Alliance is one of the best colleges for law in the state. Also, I was impressed by the faculties, course structure and other amenities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose this course because it provided Hons. in both BBA and LAW, this was not offered by other colleges I had as an option. Secondly, I want to join the corporate world after my graduation so this is an apt choice. Here the law department has around 30+ professors in which most of them hold a doctorate degree, making them the best knowledge imparters. The average class strength is around 50. The exams are scheduled properly accorf=ding the UGC guidelines of the total number of sessions per subject and with an optimum amount of time to prepare. The difficulty of the exams depends on the preparation. Being a law student, we get mostly analytical questions rather than theoretical ones, hence it helps us to apply our knowledge of the subjects as we will be supposed to do after the completion of the course. Application-based examination criteria make the examinations moderately difficult, as we need to be thoroughly clear with our concepts.

Internships Opportunities

3

I have interned twice with the college with 20k stipend per month. Concerning my legal internships as of now I have only interned twice, one with a legal firm as a researcher and content writer, Other was a work from the home internship as a content writer.

Placement Experience

3

From 10th-semester students are eligible for campus placements. We have around 380+ recruiters throughout all courses. The highest package which students get is 14-20 lacs, with an average of 7.5 lacs. Across all the courses the placement percentage is 93%. After my college degree, I am planning to join the corporate world.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our tuition fees is been constant for years which is 2 Lac per year. The college does provide a number of scholarships, and financial assistance like education loans as they have tied up with a number of banks which I didn't avail any. As I have not completed the course I still haven't got placed. I interned with the college for a stipend of 20K per month which was performance-based.

Campus Life

4

The college conductions an annual fest on the foundation day of Alliance University which happens in the month of August. Apart from that, there are numerous student organised events which happen almost weekly or once in two weeks basis. Also, the Student Support Service Department holds multiple quizzes, competitions, movie nights, sports competitions and other exciting events regularly. We have a rich library with almost everything one needs during their course preparations and even after that in both physical and virtual form. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled with the classrooms having projectors and whiteboard and are spacious, airy and bright. The classes are on gallery-style. Giving importance to the overall development of the students' welfare, the college supports sports like football, basketball, handball, volleyball, cricket, badminton, tennis etc. The college team often participates in inter and intra level college competitions.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are provided with a cot, study table, chair, shelves and cupboards. The rooms have ample ventilation. The food in the mess if fairly good. As there are students from all over the country we have a multicuisine menu (North and south Indian). Rotis, two types of rice ( plain and flavoured), vegetable subzi, a pulses curry, dal, sambar or rasam, curd, salad, chutney, pickle, fries and desert include in the everyday menu, apart from tea, coffee, milk and breakfast and evening snacks. Hostels are quite expensive depending on the occupancy you chose, but the services are worth the money as the hostel fees include laundry, room rent, and food. I opted for a single occupancy room. Hostels are provided on a first come first serve basis. Even there are a lot of affordable PGs and flats around the college arena.

Interview Experience

4.5

I got admission based on my merits and LSAT score. Although I had to give ACLAT and also went through GD and PI. The topics are normally the trending topics in the field of education, for example, "AI: A boon to the world". Preparation for the rounds wasn't difficult as I have a habit of reading.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly, with respect to relevance, I would rate it low since most of the topics that were taught to us in these 3 years felt like an extension of the 11th &12th grade. A lot of the things we studied felt familiar since we had already studied it so we were disappointed as we thought we weren't learning anything new and growing and developing. However in the 3 year we did learn some new and interesting topics that was very refreshing.
