Remarks :

Probably the higher management was not that great and could be improved. So is the mess food. Great College built on past reputation, but by the time I passed out, it was more of reputation than academics.

Entrance Preview :

AIEEE: AIR 55270For i always had an interest in Civil Structures be it bridges, tunnels, buildings etc, i took up this course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I'd say it was challenging, at the syllabi more than that of CS/IT/ECE.some of the electives were:Hydraulics, Open channel flow, RCC, bridge engineering, structures, transportation, evnvironment engg etc.

Internships Opportunities :

It was satisfactory, but the college didnt help us in getting the internship. we got our internship by our own. Though they did issue us certificates to help us get those internship. There was no stipend offered.

Placement Experience :

Placement for CS/IT branches was good as Infosys/Wipro came for placement but that for Civil branch was underpar as only 2 companies came for placement which didnt offer a satisfactory/acceptable compensation package.

College Events :

Lots of college events celebrated, that is one for each college committee, comprising of Cultural, Literary, Technical, Environment etc. We even managed to rope in YoYo Honey Singh for one of our annual cultural events i.e. ZION.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure was feasible for my batch, but did subsequently increase for every new batch, and the inflation was around 15-20%. The tuituion fees was about 40k when i first joined and by the time i was in my final year it was 55k per year. The hostel fee remained the same throughout, i.e. 60k per year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College offered scholarship for SC/ST students. Other than that scholarship was provided to students with academic excellence such as branch and university toppers.

Campus Life :

Campus life was ordinary, not much of a flashy kind as you'd expect in Delhi University, but nonetheless was good for a college situated in Roorkee. Though the hostel life was much better, as you'd hangout with your friends all day/night long, and thats where all the great memories are made.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities/Mess food quality was below par. For the amount charged for hostel, the facilities and the food were poor, but i guess that is expected as you wouldnt get "Ghar ka Khana" or anything near to home cooked food outside.

Alumni/Alumna :

The senior students were very helpful all throughout my college duration. Had a lot of fun with them, both academically and while gaming and/or hanging out with them.

Exam Structure :

The exams were at a semester affair and the schedule was chilled out, could get one/two leaves per exam. Though we did have sessionals twice during a sem, but that wasnt too hectic as well. The lab schedule was one lab per week for a particular subject.

Faculty :

Faculty was great with the professors being passouts from IIT-Roorkee.Standards were great for my purticlar branch. Our HOD was very helpful and co-operating with managing to teach about 75% electives at a certain time duration when there was a shortage of

From 3rd year that is 5 th semester students are eligible for campus placements and interships. The companies who visited our campus is Deloitte, PWC, Amazon, TCS, Mahindra etc. Highest package offered currently in 2023 is 32 Lpa and 22 Lpa and average is between 5-6 Lpa.80% of the total students appeared in the placement. My plans is to pursue mtech after this.

Placement Experience:

6th sem onwards placement drives are carried out in this university. All the students in that particular semester may be eligible for the placements. No I said eligible as because the attendance as well as the backlogs are checked. As the college is very strict about attendance and backlogs. If either of the two doesn't reaches rhe minimum criteria then the students are debared for the session or from the placements drive. Ok so 192 companies visit the campus every year where the hight package reached was of INR 33.50 LPA. The average package ranges from INR 7LPA - INR 8.5LPA. Placement percentage is almost around 91% as of the current year. My plans after getting the degree is to like opt for higher studies and get placed either abroad or into the biggest MNC in India.

Placements are great , however they vary bramchwise. This year Roorkee observed a small dip die to recession and everyone were not placed on campus . However many got placed off campus and received some great packages too

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is like that they provide 5-6 classes in a day. They provide couses subjects like software engineering , computer applications, gate classes, mathematics ,they also should have provide physics lectures but due to regular changer in thier curriculum and erp they could not maintain any pace . Some of the experienced faculties the teaching matethod is great.

Placement Experience:

As I'm in 2nd ye I don't know much about the placement cell but I heard from the seniors that the placement ratio is good but only for those who devoted themselves to studies. The highest placement ever was like 1.1 CR and avg is 6L. The percentage of students getting placement is like 40%.My plans are giving CDS or GATE exam for higher studies.

Remarks:

It was recommended by my seniors who have earlier studied in this college. The other thing that fascinated me towards the college is the faculties. They are well qualified and heard from others they teach so well so i chose the college. The other thing is the infrastructure and the college is in the area where less noise comes.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Some company that visits are zaro education, rubisoft etc. Placement has 3-4 rounds and the placement cell is good and managed with good teachers
