Student's Review On IES College Of Engineering - [IESCE], Thrissur

Remarks :

Good space and ecosystem. Although the faculty keeps changing which disturbs our process of learning. This college is also situated at heart of thrissur, its only like 8 km from thrissur town. The college campus is around 42 hectares.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our course curriculum is based on APJ Abdul kalam Technological University. There is no much campus recruitment. All the faculty keeps changing so its even hard to remember their names even. It is a good college with average management.

Placement Experience :

Placement are very low in my college, I should‰Ûªve checked more before i enrolled here. It was a mistake. There is much larger opportunity for mechanical students but my college does not have any placement opportunities

College Events :

Technical programmes are okay. Outsiders are not allowed in the college under any circumstances. Management festivals are given with very low funding so most of the time all programs are bad. Our college does not participate in any big events

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No special scholarship was given to me although i heard some of the students were given scholarships. They did get a fee concession in their college fees which helped them along the way. I did have to pay my full fees though

Campus Life :

Campus size is good Sports facilities are bad Wifi does not work Size of library is okay Equipment in labs are all really good. Overall college does have more cons than pro. I wouldn‰Ûªt much recommend this college to anyone

Hostel Facilities :

I did stay back at hostel for two years, it has very bad food quality, strict management, irresponsible workers. I then quit hostel and moved outside to stay with my friends which gave me a much healthier and happy life

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

Placement Experience:

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
