Remarks :

This college is one of the premier Engineering institution in North East. The college takes students through Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) so the quality of student in this college is quite good and the course is one of the most sought course in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is quite updated. Recently it has made few good changes after coming under Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU). Every year industrial visits are done by the college to various sites. The faculties are quite updated and experienced in their fields. Prof. Jayanta Pathak is one of the experienced faculty of Civil Department, AEC.

Internships Opportunities :

NGO name - Sishu Sarothi, works for the betterment of children. We need to apply in the ngo to get an internship. It was a mandatory social internship for the first year.

Placement Experience :

Many companies visit the college campus round the year. Among them are PSU's like IOCL, OIL, ONGC, SAIL, PowerGrid. Private companies like Tata, Dalmia, Accenture, Wipro etc visits. The placement process is quite simple. The final year students gets to seat for the companies. The placement cell is quite active and function precisely. Being the oldest engineering college it has quite good alumni network. The enterprenur cell is quite active in the college and regular fests are held round the year by the cell.

College Events :

The college offers one of the coolest campus life. Various clubs organises events round the year. The technical event is known as UDBHAVANAM, where various technical events like Backdoor Scientist, Buildxtra etc are organised. The cultural fest is called Pyrokinesis, which is one of the biggest event across North- East where various artists all over India come and perform. Participants across Assam participate in both the fests.

Campus Life :

The center attraction of the college is its lust green campus. The college is quite updated in terms of sports, various tournaments are held round the year. The hostels and the college is equipped with high speed wifi. The library is moderate in size and equipments of the labs are updated too.

Hostel Facilities :

Yes hostels are quite good and big in AEC. For the first two year, sharing rooms are provided but for the next two years everyone gets single rooms. The facility of PG is quite good across the campus, one can easily find a PG around the campus. The average rental in PG would be around 5k per month. Hostels are easily available in the college.

Journey to become a doctor

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a neurologist. My class has approximately 150 students belonging to different parts of Assam and India. Students' faculty ratio is 30:1. All the faculty are well experienced. They take our theory classes in the lecture hall and clinical classes in the hospital. College authorities conduct test exams every month and universities conduct the final exams in the month of March. Test exams are more difficult compared to final exams.

JB College: Rich Culture and Great Ideology

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a well-known college in Jorhat, Assam. People prefer Jorhat for educational purposes. In Assam, Jorhat is pretty good for continuing your future education. The surroundings of the college is quite green, calm. NCC is there as a full-fledged department. There is a library, Auditorium, Indoor sports stadium.
