Remarks :

Guwahati college is a prestigious college in Assam for long years. It produced quality Scholars from the date of establishment. The good facility in All aspects. The admission process is quite simple 1)You have to fill up the online form. 2) Then there will be an admission date, on that day u have to come and take the admission. Admission will be based fully merit basis. 3) Free admission will be offered for those students who have an income certificate of annual income below 2 lakh according to Assam government norms but u have to pay 350 rupees for Games, Sports, Magazine, and Student Union which not included in free admission norms. 4) For Degree courses, you have to go to the respective H.O D of Department for ur majors subject.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course Curriculum for H.S is according to Assam Higher secondary education council syllabus and For Degree courses, it is affiliated to Gauhati University. Faculty members are so dedicated and well educated.

Course Fees : INR 12700 per year

Placement Experience :

There is some placement programs conducted by many organizations. Many conference are conducted for Students higher education in research activities to promote the students in the research field.

Fees and Financial Aid :

Fees structure is different for different streams. The Commerce stream is a self financed stream so Students have to pay more amount as compared to Science and Arts stream. For a degree In Science, admission fees are 6,350 rupees for one semester excluding Exam fees.

Campus Life :

Very good facility. There is. A central library for maximum necessary books for Students study purpose and For indoor games there is room and for outdoor games, there is a field on the college campus. Various sports activities are conducted annually in college.

Interview Experience :

There are no exams for admission. But in 1st sem, we did a group discussion for the semester final exams and there is merit basis admission process according to Board marks.

Handique Girls’ College- The first women college in the Northeast

Course Curriculum Overview:

Handique is a quite reputable college. The students get good study environment. The curriculums are good but doesn't help for the real life situations. Cultural programs should be held more with allowing normal students to participate rather than the union members. Attendance policy is strict but doesn't even consider if a student is having real problems.

My college experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

One sessional exam and one semester exam per month reduces the burden on the students. Seminars are compulsory and they carry marks according to our curriculum and that helps us to improve our presentation skills and improve our public speaking skills. The sessional exam is not that hard and you can score well in semester exam if you solve previous years question papers.
