Prachi's Review On TISS Tata Institute Of Social Sciences, Mumbai

Remarks :

Best colleges for Social Work, good environment, good location, one of the top colleges in India, well- educated professors, diversity in college, recommended by friends and family, the course I opted for (Disability studies and action) is only available at TISs

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is amazing. It is well developed and organized, faculties are well-informed and educated. We have field work every week where we are placed in certain organizations for our exposure which give in depth knowledge and experience as well in the field.

Placement Experience :

I am in the final year so not much idea about this but placements are quite good, with good salaries.

College Events :

ItÕs Really fun. There are no restrictions as such, full safety and Mumbai being a safe city is a lot more advantage. There are cultural functions happening almost everyday and itÕs too much fun. You get through college with friends and ever friendly faculty

Course Curriculum Overview:

As my course BMS finance. I think my course it's so nice and for plans it's so great to learn about management and Finance things. Which is probably nowadays pretty much the spotlight for the times. Exams in a college about these courses were so easy because of the faculty members who teach in a very proper way. This course is very important because in the future most of the jobs are based on this and people are getting jobs. If you are studying well in this course this course has many opportunities front and many options available to join any job after studying the scores course. So, I am very much happy about my course

Course Curriculum Overview:

The current curriculum is comprehensive based curriculum. Here practical knowledge is more important than bookish knowledge. So now spending more time in wards is of greater importance. Exams are held accordingly - 2 internals, 1 prilims and 1 University held by MUHS. Each exam is followed by practical examination. This curriculum will help to build good doctors rather than bookish doctors.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements after their 3rd year of 5 year course of 1st year of 3 year course. The highest package offered is 5 lakh and average is 50,000/- to 100,000/-. 10% of the total students in college get placed through this process of placements. My plan is to start interning after my 1st year and look in for opportunities in every field. I would want to get a PPO that is Pre-Placement Offer which is usually difficult.

Placement Experience:

I have also got nearly three placements. Currently, I am working in Accenture with a package of 6.5 lpa. I have experienced a decent placement process which was very systematic in that every or each of the students can get placed. For placements, SKNCOE is the best in Maharashtra.
