Remarks :

This is the best option i had for engineering. Jadavpur University is among the top ranked college so when I appeared for my wbjee n got the seat I was quite excited. Moreover it is near my house thus I don't have to stay in any hostel or as Paying Guest, then I always wanted to take up architecture so Jadavpur University was my only option left.

Course Curriculum Overview :

There is too much pressure in my department. Initially it was difficult for me.to cope up with such pressure but still I managed and now I'm habituated to take such pressure. All my faculties are really helpful and is always helping me.out in different ways. They are always available whenever I need them.

Course Fees : INR 2400 per year

Placement Experience :

The alumni networking is really good. Apart from architecture most of the streams are well placed and teachers and professors have good connections. Companies like Microsoft Apple and all come for placements

College Events :

Cultural Fest happens like thrice a year. Jadavpur University has its own tech fest which is really helpful and encourages student to participate. Entrepreneurship competitions like Hult Prize is organized by JU E-cell.

Campus Life :

Campus has it's own Wifi which us really helpful. Library is also awesome with a huge collection only I guess one problem which prevails is better toilet should be provided specially for female students with medical shops around inside the campus

The highest package was 31 lakh from Amazon. Almost everyone gets placement here but a very low package. I plan to get an off-campus placement after getting the degree.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
