Remarks :
I have always been passionate about animals and wanted to be a veterinarian. I wanted to also stay in my hometown so I opted for the degree in the same place as my home but I stayed in the hostel, nevertheless.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course proved good. Syllabus is not very updated but better than other colleges in the country. Faculty were all good. Almost all faculty are hard working and proficient. Clinical exposure was not much available as the clinical complex is situated in a rural area
Internships Opportunities :
Internship is provided by the college itself, for the whole last semester
Placement Experience :
No campus placement is available. However as it is a medical course and everyone is a doctor on graduation no one is unemployed. Most people are employed in the government itself through the Kerala Public Service Commission, but this exam only happens once in 3-4 years. So graduates either practice privately it are employed in private hospitals, farms or NGOs
College Events :
Extracurriculars events are a huge thing here. So many cultural fests and competitions are held. The management doesn't conduct many of these for the students as such. The students' union plays the bigger part. Sports events are also held a lot.
Campus Life :
Above average. Sports and gym facilities are good. WiFi is not ubiquitously available. Library is well maintained and top notch. Labs have moderate level of equipment. Overall the facilities are available
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facility is provided by the college as it's a government college. The hostel rooms are fairly well maintained and the mess food is fairly priced as students themselves run the mess. There is no rent for hostel.
