Remarks :

Coz this is one of the best in kolkata and I always wanted to study here because of more exposure to opportunities in this University. Jadavpur has always been my first priority and dream from childhood.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is really nice. We get a lot of facilities and faculties are also very helpful. Just one thing which is not good is the syllabus is not updated. Old syllabus is being followed from years. Industrial exposure is good here.

Course Fees : INR 10000 per year

Placement Experience :

Placements and job opportunities are quite good here in most of the branches. Most of the students get placed with decent packages. Though placement is not that good in architecture department. But still overall placement is good here compared to other colleges.

College Events :

Campus Life is beautiful. We have a lot of fests like srijan and Sanskriti. Srijan is the tech fest where engeneering students participate from different colleges and srijan is the cultural fest. Besides these we have others fests too.

The highest package was 31 lakh from Amazon. Almost everyone gets placement here but a very low package. I plan to get an off-campus placement after getting the degree.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
