Minsara's Review On Toc H Institute Of Science And Technology - [TIST], Ernakulam

Remarks :

Goodwill of the college is the first thing and also the strength of teaching staff as well as affordable fees. Admission process includes GD, entrance Exam scores, and a personal interviee. The first thing I like the most is the amazing teachers who plans different programs for the upliftments of the students including trade fair, seminars and conferences, foreign collaboration programs etc. Business and trade is the future of the country which has greater scope among youngstres thus MBA can cater for enabling youngsters for business operations

Course Curriculum Overview :

KTU has a an very updated syllubus wich has adequate amendments. The college provided two internship programs and also faculties rend to be really honest. The HOD Mr. hareesh Ramanadhan always made a proper dicisons and plans for the students

Placement Experience :

Many number of colleges visited the college but more numbers was conducted in other colleges or public venues.

College Events :

Campus life was really professional as well as colourful. The college had a great space for every hangouts and celebrations. The college MBA department also conducts yearly managements fests which has large number of participants from differnwt colleges across the country. It also has a international consignment with kalenia university of srilanka. Also has a trade fair program which enable students to experience a business.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No such facilities was provided by the college or I am not sure about such facilities by college. Students managed to take their own personal educational loans for the tution and hostel fees

Campus Life :

The campus was realy eco friendly and was a green campus and had all adequate infrastructure.good hostels, play grounds, conference halls, smart class rooms with proper ventilations and refreshment facilities. The college also has a full fledged library service wich has large number of books and business journals

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel infrastructure was pretty good had many staffs for the maintanance and mess operations. But the food served had a lot of complaints filed. Hostel had about 200 rooms and related washrooms. The rent was about 4000 per month. Infrastructure facilities was good but had small compaints from the part of inmates. Hostel also had seperate facilities for studies and recreational activities of the inmates.

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
