Remarks :
Entrance for MFM NIFT takes place in January, we have to go for the written exam here which is in MCQ form , if we clear this, then we have to go for interview around May. If we clear both, we need to get the counselling done around June, and then we get to know the centre we are allotted. NIFT Bangalore was my dream, since school time, it is one of the coolest campus for the MFM Course, we get a lot of exposure about the industries as well, faculties n staffs are very cooperative.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I wanted to have an insight of the fashion industry and how it works, that's why I opted for this course. Faculties are best there, they teach you in the best n easiest way possible. Almost all of them are NIFT qualified so they know in and out of the course structure very well. MFM is a 4 sem course. In every SEM we have to give 2 assignments and 1 final exam for each subject. And if you just concentrate well in your class, passing isn't a big deal.
Internships Opportunities :
Companies and stipends depends upon the students capability. I have yet not come to this part for my ownself but I have seen student getting 10k per month and I have also seen students getting 30-50k let month.
Placement Experience :
Students might get placed in their internships also if the company find them good or else placement takes place after the end of the course every year but the students aren't restricted to find the opportunities on their own as well.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
NIFT has a tieup with UBI for fee concession and loans plus there are lots of scholarship programs also available to the underprivileged students so they can study easily.
Campus Life :
Life at NIFT Bangalore is awesome. Every year there's an annual fest known as spectrum where we learn as much as we enjoy . At the end of every year inter campus sports competition also takes place.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are good. Hostel are given to the students of first year only on the basis of first cum first serve coz they might be new to the city so as to make them comfortable and use to the atmosphere, they provide the hostel. For other years you have to go for the PG/flat . So you get to experience both.
Interview Experience :
Group discussion can be on any any random topic regarding fashion or GK. Once we clear the written we are allowed to appear for GD/PI.
