Review of my college

Remarks :

FAMT is one of the best college in district. It has best faculty in every branch. All faculty is very helpful throughout your 4 years of course. Placements are improving year by year. Best thing about college is transparency in fee structure.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum of Mumbai university is on average side. i personally feel there was lack of practical based education, lack of industry oriented study, focus on theoretical concepts only. But as we passed out we came to know practical and industrial knowledge is most important thing to grow up or stick in corporate world.

Placement Experience :

In 2016 there were hardly few companies visited for campus drive. Internship not provided by college not a single reference they gave to student. its totally depend on student not any involvement of college into internships.Few companies which are small scale visited and about 20 % student got placed. there were eligibility criteria for each drive. they carried few aptitude exams before placements. Yes college did arranged few seminars training programs to make students ready for placements. They provide special barclays training for interview group discussion training

College Events :

Many technical programs like paper presentations debates science exhibition seminars career guidance. Many cultural programs like rakhi, holi, diwali, freshers party.Utopia is yearly festival of college which long last for 4 days including sports arts dance programs. They were not so big but yeah 2000 students at a time having fun in those festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very feasible as compare to colleges in mumbai metro city. In 2012 -2016 feeson an average for open category was like 60000 per year for obc its half and sc st nt having 4000 rs per year. yes college os transparent in fee breakdown. No additional fees for securing admission.but yes there were few management seats which going to fill in last phase. inaround sept

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For obc category there was fee concession. we had to apply online for fee reduction with non creamy layer income certificate and caste, caste validity certificate then government transfer money back into bank account. College doesnt offer any scholarship. For reserved category there was reduction in fees.

Campus Life :

Overall gender ration in our college is 2 girls and 3 boys.(2:3) but for mechanical engineering course its worse like ( 30 girls and 130 boys ) workshop is well maintained.no racism no ragging no sexual harassment happened in college premises. Mixed society in college. Diversity in religions but no difference seen there. Having no political influence in college. Hope foundation is foundation which is related to institution. Director of institute is a businessman.

Hostel Facilities :

No. I opted for PG near college. College hostel is 4 km away from college premises i have an idea about hostel. Few of my frnd were there. hostel is well manitained having lot of greenary. No limits on hostel seats. fees were affordabl. rooms were clean. Mess facility is on an average side. PG near college premises was cheap and convenient. It would take rs 15000 yearly for rent 12000 yearly for mess.

Alumni/Alumna :

Like in compitition of Sae Baja senior helped alot. in many events they found helpful. there is no such alumini network but few whats app groups are there to keep in touch.

Admission :

I got average marks in engineering entrance exam. On such basis i was sure i wouldnt get top colleges but i could get average college. So in cap round i opt this college and fortunately got converted. Factors that influenced me to get into this college are Fees, Transportation, Home state college, faculty.

Faculty :

Number of lectures per week is 10 per subject. faculty of my college was at par. they had much experience of teaching. Few Freshly post graduated mtech guys were there for practical purpose. Age wise - yes they are well versed with the subject they taught. They taught untill student gets clear thoughts about concepts. Few of them had industrial experience.

Talking about placements, most of the placements occurs in CSE and IT branch, but surprisingly in the Government College of Engineering Aurangabad, the Mechanical branch has the same placements comparatively just the fact is that the package is less.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As every Diploma passing student enters to degree college same process I went through. The faculty of the college are well educated and hardworking. As a student, you have to reach out to your faculty and maintain a good relation with them to get constant support from them. the ratio is 25:1. The teaching method of professors is very professional. Exams are as per the government regulations and the difficulty level is moderate for general students.

Placement Experience:

Students are encouraged to take internships from the moment they are confident and can handle responsibility. They are eligible for placements after semester 4. Approximately 60+ companies visit the campus every year and they take an average of 4-5 offers. For instance, the highest package can be 40+lpa from Microsoft. 90-100% placements happen every year. My plan after getting the degree is to acquire a placement and work with the organization.

The college Bajaj Institute of Technology, Wardha is very reputed college as it is Shiksha Mandal's college. I saw many advertisement about this college throughout the year and that's why choose to take admission in it.

Placement Experience:

Till now no company has visited. 2 students are selected and that is with their own efforts. Not having any job referral because hardly few students are placed. In startup one group won the hackathon and I guess they are doing their startup thing
