One of the best colleges in applied sciences

Remarks :

It?s awesome. Anybody will feel lucky for being studied in this college

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes it provided industry specific knowledge, after second and third year of graduation there was an industrial training in reputed food companies for 2 months. Industrial visits were also planned up by the college, we had visited Nestle Based in Goa and seen manufacturing of maggi noodles and understood the processes involved in it

Placement Experience :

First internship is from noon beverages which is a subsidiary of Coca Cola. Second one was from mother dairy based in Patparganj, New Delhi. I passed out in 2007, at that time usually companies do not come for placements, but the demand for food tech course is so much that the students are absorbed by food companies.

College Events :

It was great, we had cultural day, annual day, world food day celebrated in our college. All sorts of competition with respect to singing dancing are being organised in college. During world food day, food poetry as well as food plays were also organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Yes college comes under Delhi university so obviously transparency in formOf fee structure will be there. No such additional fees has to be paid for securing additional seat. During 2004-2007 fees was around rupees 7000 annually, don?t know about present.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No idea about the same, I have not applied for it. College authorities may be contacted, they can tell everything regarding average sum, eligibility criteria and procedure for applying a loan.

Campus Life :

It was completely a girls college so no question about gender ratio. Parties, workshops and diversity of students were good. Students come fromDiverse cultural background. Economic status of the students were also good their parents being in government as well as private sector

Hostel Facilities :

I have not opted for hostel but yes at present our college is now located in Vasundara enclave, it has items own building and world class infrastructure with respect to laboratories. Hostels are also there and I am pretty confident that they must be beat clean and tidy. No idea about rentals.

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors are well placed in reputed organisation and very helpful. They evdd Ed n help in facilitating summer internships for the second and third year students

Admission :

I got admission as per 4th cut off list. The reason why I chose this college is that food processing is emerging as one of the areas where our country is lacking, so studying an applied course will open up the doors from various Milti national companies. Food processing in India is still at a nascent stage, an applied course is a must if we want to increase production of processed food and exports in future.

Faculty :

Yes lectures were very experienced and knowledgeable. Their age age may be 30 plus. Most of them are Master of science and phd in the field of food science and Nutrition. They had great understanding of the subject and always guided and laid a strong foundation in clearing the basic concepts of food processing, preservation, engineering, nutrition and many more.

The placement is good (can do better) in the college. The students become eligible for internships and getting placed in after completing the last semester. Remarks:

First this college is in delhi and near metro station. This is main campus of GGSIPU so campus life is very nice. Most important factor is fee which is 70000 very less as compare to other engineering colleges.

Placement Experience:

Job opportunity depends on students. College applied it all efforts. Placement is helping students in getting good job. There is many companies came in campus for hiring students mostly last year students get placement. Company like TCS is mass recruiter which hire students from every branch. Infosys, Accenture Paytm,Amazon.Internship opportunity is less.

Remarks:

The exponential progress that it gained over a really short period of time regarding the level of academics, opportunities etc. It provides interships to the students too. Great faculty. Visiting faculty are also the one who teach in some of the prestigious colleges too.

Placement Experience:

Excellent. Many different organisations and firms have picked up the students from our department for the interships. Many of the students got the job immediately just after the intership while others also got it within a short period of time.

Remarks:

The Placement of our university is commendable with our students placed at big tech companies like Microsoft, Goldmann Sachs, IBM, Amazon, Flipkart. Also situated in the heart of old Delhi, we have quite good campus life. The faculty here is highly qualified and experienced, being graduates of colleges and universities like DTU, IITs etc. Being an all girls University, it is the most popular choice for the companies to hire women tech force for their companies offering them respectable salary packages. The average salary packages offered here is approx 11 lacs.
