Remarks :

I did my UG in the same campus (LICET). I have seen LIBA for entire four years of my UG. The Method of Teaching and Learning is quite different from any other B-schools and all the academic and cultural events are conducted and organized by the students itself, which helps to gain lots of experience and skills that is needed for an MBA graduate. The placement is also really good. I remember our Director Father telling "I won't sleep until I get you all placed in a Good Company provided you put in efforts from your side". The campus LIfe is Beyond Awesome. Our Director Father is a real enthusiast and the staff members are very friendly and welcoming for any suggestions or doubts. This college has everything that an MBA aspirant needs.

Course Curriculum Overview :

This is my first month in LIBA and they are already sending us the internship opportunities available. The quality of the course is matching the current business standards. So far all the faculties are good. We have experienced faculties.

Internships Opportunities :

I interned in a Edu-tech company called Skill-lync as a Technical Sales Engineer for 4 months with a stipend of 18k/month during my UG

Placement Experience :

LIBA is bringing in lots of placement opportunities. They have also made internship as mandatory by which many students get PPO during their internship itself. Previous year Asian Paints have recruited for the highest salary package of 1500000. They have a Alumni committee which has constant contact with the alumnus.

College Events :

LIBA conducts student events like Chrysalis, Libazar, Break-free etc; also, cultural events like Libarated. They have Fresher's day, Onam, Diwali, Pongal, Christmas, Holi, Farewell etc; All the events are conducted and organized by the students itself. Each student will take part in atleast one event.

Campus Life :

The Campus is located at the heart of Chennai i.e Nungambakkam. It has Loyola Arts and Science College, Loyola - ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET), Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) and Loyola College of Education (LCE). Also, the campus has Christ the King Church with Gothic architecture at the center of the campus. The campus has grounds for Football, Cricket, Hockey and Tennis. Each college has a separate library of their own which consists of updated books and journals. The entire campus has a good wi-fi facility and the labs are updated to the current standards.

Hostel Facilities :

I have opted for hostel. The hostel is run by the Sisters. Hostel has 3, 4, 5 and 6 sharing rooms. The cost of rooms depends upon the type of sharing you are opting for and it includes mess fee also. LIBA women's hostel has A/C rooms. The rooms are well furnished but the there is no much free space. The food is consumable. There are PG's nearby with 6k to 10k per month rent according to your facilities but I would recommend you to take the college hostel. The hostel facility can be applied through the portal provided in the website. Hostel also conducts lots of fun events and you will have a good time in hostel.

Placement Experience:

There were more than 100 companies opting to get people from our college. Infosys, CTS, TCS and many other companies and the campus drive takes place at almost for 2 to 3 months. There will be even heavy competition between companies who's gonna recruit first. There are options if you are not interested in placements too

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
