Pearl Academy South Campus, Interior Architecture and design
Reviewed on Aug 29, 2020

Remarks

Someone suggested me to take admission in pearl academy as its is best for students who wants to male career in designing. I have always been interested in designing and interior so I decided to take admission. I learned alot. And my personality as person is also developed. The campus of pearl academy is the best.

Course Curriculum Overview

Interior architecture and design is 4 year undergraduate full time course. The course structure was hectic as we have to sumbit the projects on time and study well. On the basis of projects the grade is given. The faculty was very much professional. They were a little bias too. Which annoyed me. Yes, there is enough industrial exposure. The academy organised educational trip to Udaipur and Lucknow as well. In this trip we learned alot and gained the information about the designs.

Placement Experience

3

I am little disappointed with the placement opportunities they provide. In my class only 3- 4 students got placed. There are companies who come for hiring but only few students are selected for the job. The fees of the college is high, so student expect best placement opportunities. After 2-3 months of graduation I got to work under a architect, and salary offered to me that time was 18 k per month.

College Events

3.5

There are fests that held every year.Fashion shows, project exhibitions where students show there talents. There were not much of Extra curricular activities as we were always busy in making projects and all. Campus life was fantastic, i enjoyed every bit of it, made lots of friends and even seniors were amazing too.

the curriculum was in every details, in each of the life sci. book the each of the diagram of the verious animal kingdom as in very details, Well I think if the student Once go through the IGNOU books then they don't need to reffer to any other study material.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement in thier third year of study and are eligible for internships throughout. Companies like the big 4 and all other renowned companies like wipro and all visit the college. Highest packages go around 12-13 lakhs while the average stay around 6 lakhs. Around 40-50 companies visit for placement every year and if internships are added the number goes over a 100. Percentage of students getting placed is generally lesser because of the completion again. A right guess would be around 15 percent. My plans after the degree is to apply for masters and PhD abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.
