There was a written exam followed by a group discussion and a personal interview. There was no reservation system. It was a one year PG diploma in Mass Communication and journalism. The application form can be found on its website. The application fees in 2015 cost around rs 1000.
Course structure is pretty awesome and consists of four modules. Final modules more or less consists of the placement or the internship process, while the rest of the modules covers the media basics and advanced media concepts and subject specialization.
The syllabus is carefully curated by the media professionals. My specialisation was Entertainment & Lifestyle, which aims at providing students with the best opportunity to learn about topics like fashion, art & culture, heritage, food, movies, books, technology, etc. and understand the best way to present what the viewer wants to see.
I am sure TSJ has come a long way since I passed out of the institution, but as far as my experience is concerned I have no complains, rather I credit much of my professional standings to TSJ.
