Raj's Review On National Institute Of Electronics & Information Technology - [NIELIT], Calicut

Remarks :

I chose this college because I heard many places about the well being of the college. My sister also did her master's from this college. Thus I got the chance to feel this college little closely than others

Course Curriculum Overview :

My field of specialisation was electronics design and technology which was quite new for the students. I had my b.tech from electronics and thus few basic things were similar in both of my degrees. Facilities treated each one same

Placement Experience :

Mistral Solutions Pvt Ltd, VVDN, Bosch, Einfochips etc were the top recruiters of my college. For recruitment firstly they took GD and then interview of all the students who applied for their job. Salary ranged between 60 thousands to 80 thousands.

College Events :

There was one very famous fest of our college which was known as Technical Fest. In this fest, students of other colleges weree also invited in the college to participate and build warm friendship with eachother.

Campus Life :

The library of the college was an informative hub. They kept every types of books in the library. We even got the privilege of keeping books for 2 weeks for making notes. There were also e library system with 25 computers.

Hostel Facilities :

I chose hostel on the very first day when I looked at the hostel room. Trust me it was better than my expectations and experience I had during my b.tech. Rooms were very clean and airy with lots of trees everywhere outside

Admission :

I got 94% in the entrance exam GATE and I got the privileged to choose college according to my wish. And then there I chose this college of mine without looking Anywhere at all. College didn't take any additional tests like interview etc for the addmission.

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
