Mainstream course in IHM Hamirpur

Course Curriculum Overview :

My course was about Hospitality and Hotel Administration. The course necessarily had practical subjects that were counted in the final semester scores. In terms of the theoretical aspect, the subjects were self explanatory and not difficult to understand. However, there was a long list of them in each semester so, managing them can become an issue.

Placement Experience :

Some of the top companies participate in the IHM Hamirpur placement. Some of them being DMAS Hotels, Oberoi Hotels etc. While internship possibility is infrequent, students generally focus with maximum attention on their final years when recruitment process takes place.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The annual fee for my course was 1.12 lakhs. Although, the student must check for an updated information as the college has increased the fees once in a while. I was prepared and so were my family about the fees amount as hotel management is good to be studied in a private Institute.

Campus Life :

The practicals under my course were already very hectic to follow along with making the practical file that I never took interest in the extra curricular activities. Otherwise, I don't recall any specific extra curricular activity that students participated in.

Alumni/Alumna :

The network of alumnis is connected and sufficient. When I was passing out of college, I recall talking to my seniors who had good placements. They were supportive and helped me as far as was possible.

Admission :

There are two approaches that can be taken by the aspirant. The candidate can go ahead with his class 12th results in which he has passed and gained a good score. English would be a compulsory subject that would be counted. If the aspirant has not got a well deserving score or has nonorecieved it from any recognized board, he can opt for NCHMCET JEE. I went ahead with the entrance exam which was online and lasted for three hours. As it was a national level exam, I put in all my attention in the preparation for the exam.

Faculty :

The professors are very supportive and dedicated towards their work. They are able to form a good connection with their students. As many of them have specialized in the practical application, theory was majorly what was needed to be learned and studied by the student.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is updated each year. Even if the syllabus lacks certain essential reading material, the teachers themselves provide PDFs and relevant reading material for the same. The PDFs for case laws, articles, judgements are provided by law teachers to the students so that they come equipped to the classes. There's always a difference between theory and the real world. You can learn and write the exams but it depends on you how you apply the knowledge practically. According to me, the timings for semester exams is adequate. The exams are not at all difficult. You must pay attention to the teachers in classrooms.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the B.Ed course, micro-teaching or going to school to teach children is a part of the course. Its duration should be more. Apprentices in the exam should be kept at the intellectual level and not based on bookish knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would have loved it if we were given more group projects or something And would also loved it if some practical activities were held for our batch, Maybe also if we were taught how to work in the private sector and what are some responsibilities related to it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want to be a web designer. The faculties are quite interesting and hard working and the faculties are good. Maximum faculties are quite good. Some have done MTech and some are Ph.D. holders. Exams are mediocre and there are semester systems and likely to be in January and July.

Students are eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. I am not that knowledgeable about the companies and offers on the campus. Students having CGPA above 7.5 are likely to get in campus placements. I plan on going for government jobs in the civil engineering sector after the completion of my degree.
