The journey of my Master's in architecture

Remarks :

The college is an excellence in education since it was established in the year 1992. it provides good and skilled architects every year. The college is one of the best architecture colleges in India and has been ranked at the 15th position.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course structure of Masters in architecture is not that hard or vast. It is just a two year program and is totally relatable to whatever one has studied in their graduation but in a detailed manner. As compared to bachelors, Masters is not that hectic. The examinations are held on a regular basis and one needs to pass them to be promoted in next year.

Placement Experience :

Placement for not very often in architectural colleges. The professors and placement cell may guide you and help you to help you seek a good job opportunity. They also help you through your internships and if you wish you can continue with your internship firm as a job or you may open your own organisation.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure for Masters in my college is quite feasible and reasonable. The two year fee in my college accounts to rupees 1.29 lakh which is quite affordable as compared to other architecture colleges. The fee includes all kind of tuition fee, annual fee and all sorts of other fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As far as I know, no loans are provided by the college. Scholarships are also provided only to those students who either are toppers or sportsperson. the scholarship is completely authorised by the government and the college has no role besides implementing it with the help of professors.

Campus Life :

Wide variety of extra curricular activities in the college. a lot of clubs and societies are there in the college which helps in the all round development of the student. Students can join any of them as per their skill and interest. The clubs are irrespective of gender, caste, race, colour, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

There are two hostels in the college. One is for boys and the other one is for girls. Each room in the hostel comprises of three beds which according to me is not really ok because as a student of architecture one needs a lot of space and three people living in a room make the room a little vacant. The hostel fees 85000 to 90000 per year.

Admission :

I pursued my bachelors in architecture from this college itself and I found this college to be an excellence in education. Therefore I decided to pursue my master's from here as well. All you need to get selected is a minimum 50% in your graduation and you have to sit for KARNATAKA- PGCET examination. I cleared the exam and booked my seat in the college for Masters.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is very amazing. They are well skilled, learned, highly educated and supportive. Most of the professors are scholars in the field of architecture or retired architects. They help us solve all our problems related to the course of study.

Placement Experience:

Placement Cell is very hardworking and they do provide placement support for all specializations but most of the jobs that are offered are marketing or customer support roles so it's always encouraged to look for job opportunities through other sources as well.
