Arsalan's Review On NSS College Of Engineering - [NSSCE], Palakkad

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course has a good focus on research. The labs are an integral part of the curriculum where all our topics are excepted practically for a deeper understanding. The exams are not very hectic and the course is designed well.

Placement Experience :

Many good companies visit the college as a part of the placement drive that is conducted very well by the college. The faculty prepares us beforehand with all the soft skills and give us proper training throughout the four years.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

In my opinion, I believe the fee is feasible when you consider the fact that engineering is technical field with a good scope in future. The total fee is 31,281 rupees for the four year course which is feasible.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Students can avail merit based scholarships from the college. SC/ST students have separate scholarships that also provide a good amount to them. Other than that students can apply for educational loans.

Campus Life :

Sports are good in the college. Many different sports are played on campus and there are even sports competitions and sports events. We also had many events like cultural, religious, inter college events also.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities were up to the mark. The hostel rooms were equipped well and maintained clean and tidy. We were given good and hygienic food everyday in the mess. The hostel is separate for boys and girls.

Admission :

I got admission in this college after going through a long counselling process. I had written the KEAM entrance test that is mandatory for engineering students. All the students are then passed through counselling process to determine their college based on the cut-offs and their rank.

Faculty :

The college has employed good faculty and included very qualified lecturers in its teaching faculty to provide us with best learning experience. The faculty is very accommodating and helpful towards us.

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
