RICHARD's Review On Himachal Pradesh Technical University - [HPTU], Hamirpur

Remarks :

Overall, you will have a good experience in your college life. The college is funded by the state government and has a good reputation in the country. You can think of taking admission in this college for pursuing your bachelor's or master's degree.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The total duration of the B. Tech program is of 4 years. All the branches in this program have a detailed and updated syllabus. Lab experiments are also taught along with the theory classes. Semester exams are held in every 6 months.

Placement Experience :

Companies come in the campus for recruiting the fresh graduates. The package offered by most of the companies is quite decent and as per the market standard. You can also apply off-campus and get jobs. However, no internship is provided by the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee that is charged here is quite decent and feasible by most of the parents. For the entire course, you have to pay a sum of ?2 lacs (approx.). This fee includes the tuition fee, exams fee and other charges, excluding the hostel fee. If you opt for hostel, you have to pay that separately.

Campus Life :

The college campus is big and have almost all the facilities and amenities that are required for the teachers and the students. A series of events and tournaments are being organized by the college authority as well as the student council. Besides studies, you will also get to enjoy your life to the fullest.

Admission :

To get into the B. Tech program, you need to qualify either JEE Main or HPCET entrance exam (conducted by the college itself). If you get above the qualifying marks in either of these tests then you will be called for counselling. Also, you need to have at least 75% marks in your 10+2.

Faculty :

The faculty staff is good here. They all are good and experienced in their respective departments. The teachers are highly qualified and are much dedicated towards their profession. You can ask them to clear your doubts whenever you are stuck in any subject.
