Remarks :

College was good. facilities were very good like labs, library, sports.College management was OK. campus placement was very good.almost all of my class mates placed.I would recommend to my juniors.

Entrance Preview :

I have given the GATE exam, my score was AIR 192, This course was new and only available in few colleges. It was my favorite subject.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was really good. there was lot of option for selective subject. There used to be 2 main course and 2 selective.All the subject were related to main course. like my main course was embedded system and my subjects were real time system, operationg system, microcontroller.

Internships Opportunities :

It was good. Many companies like IBM, TCS, Ti, Wipro, Cisco came.They offered good stipend around 15000-20000. It was a 3 month program. I have taken internship in cisco for 3 month in bangalore.

Placement Experience :

Campus placement was just amazing. There were lots of offer for all students.More than 200 companies came for placement. Big companies are Cisco, Google, Microsoft, ITC, Wipro, TCS, infosys, TI, Philips, Nokia, Nvedia, Oracle.Google offered around 15 lakh annual package. Highest was Google only. Other companies like TI, Cisco, ITC offered around 10 lakhs.Wipro, Infosys, TCS offered around 5 lakh package.

College Events :

Tech fest was technical day. It was mainly based on robotics.There used to be many cultural program. Yearly one was spring fest. This was used to be happen in large scale. lots of participant came from various colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee was ok. it was not very high nor very low.It was around 30000 for one semester. Scholarship was available only for few students only. overall it was ok.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship was there only for few seats only. I think it was only for some categories like ST,SC. some foreign quota was also there. Loan facilities was there from sbi bank.

Campus Life :

Campus life was amazing, I can't simply say by writing how good it was.There was lots of fun. Gender ratio was good. Hostel parities used to happen every month at least. There used to election for hostel management post. overall hostel life was very good. Lots of friend were there.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities were not that good. actually capacity was less but more students. so we have to share the rooms. Rooms were very small aslo. staying two people on that small room was bit tough.Food was also not that good.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

I had good interaction with seniors. they were supportive also.but frankly telling there was less time to meet the seniors. lots of study pressure was there. seniors were also busy in their projects.alumni meet used to happen every year, I have 2-3 times with seniors.

Exam Structure :

Exam time was really hectic. It used to be every month also. many surprise test. Once in a semester, mid sem exam was there.Final exam was very hectic because it was only for 7 days. all the exam gets over in one week time.Lab were also hectic. Lots of project were running.

Faculty :

Faculty of college is one of the best in India. All the professor were PHd holders. They were very very experienced. They were too much serious about the course. Lab was just amazing.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

One of the good colleges.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
