Remarks :

The college is an amazing place to nurture up. All the things are controlled online so all things happen accroding to schedule.

Entrance Preview :

I Gave JEE MAINS and ADVANCED,BITSAT,UPSEE and some others. Got selected in IIT Kharagpur in my preferred branch. So I guess nothing more to say.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course here is only just perfect. Nor are there many useless things. Only things that have practical importance are taught and given importance. Things that are taught are taught in complete depth.

Internships Opportunities :

Well being a first year student I have not got any internship. But as heard from my seniors, companies like Miscrosoft,Flipkart,Google,Amazon give intership to students and even PPOs.

Placement Experience :

Many of the students get PPOs after 3rd year intership. Almost all companies come to the institute to offer placements. Almost all students with average CGPIs get placed easily.

College Events :

A lot of fests are celebrated in the college. Spring Fest the Annual social cultural fest of IIT Kharagpur is held in January every year. Kshitij, Asia's largest Techno-Management fest is also held in January every year. Also many of the societies of the college organise their fests like Bitwise of Code Club,NSSC of SPATS etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee is very feasible. IITs are the most affordable institutes in India. Annual expense is of around 90k. Also many different kind of scjolarships are available for financialy weak students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Loan here is very easily available to all the students through the SBI branch within the institute. Also many scholarships like MCM and many others are available for the financially weak students.

Campus Life :

Here we have around 20 different socitiea for all these extra cirricular activities. The labs here have all the equipmenta available in good condition to do experiments easily.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is not so good. Although the food has a lot of varieties but still it does not tatse so good.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Being the oldest IIT,IIT Kharagpur has the largest alumni network. Some famous of them are Sundar Pichai and Arwind Kejriwal. Also the seniors here are very helpful to their juniors.

Exam Structure :

Exam structure is a bit hectic. Sometimes there are surprise tests in addition to regular testa which comprise of 20 marks. Also exam pattern of every subject changes every year just like the JEE exam.

Faculty :

Faculty is very interactive and supportive. Professors are available even after the classes to assist weak students. They have immense knowledge of their subject.

The most honest and unbiased review of IIEST Shibpur

Placement Experience:

Students from 7th semester onwards are elegible for campus placements. Some of the companies that visits for placements are Google, microsoft, amazon, pwc, TI, accenture, PPEL, etc. A total of 920 recruiters were there which offered 753 offers to the students and out of them around 75-78% were placed. The highest placement package was offered by microsoft for 51 lpa as PPO to 14 students and the role was IDC. The average package is around 7.5 lpa. I am planning to appear in GATE exam and go for masters in IITs after completion of my degree where i will be persuing my further studies in transportation engineering.

From seventh semester the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are like TCS, Cognizant, infosys, mindtree and many others. The avg pkg is 6 lpa and highest is 12 lpa. 90 percent students gets placed.

Overall only one thing is important is about hardwork with smart work . You have to work on your skills rest college is there to help you to show the path from your college to carrier .

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester onwards companies are coming to visit in our colleges . You will give exams in four phases that are coding , technical, aptitude and after qualifying all simple interview would be taken . Just develop your skills then surely you will get job . Highest package is about 10 lakh per annum and average is about 5 to 6 lakh per annum. The percentages of getting placed are about 60 to 70 percent . Just keep in mind that choose any language like c ++ , java , python and become pro into it . You will definitely get job .

Very appropriate college for all kind of students !! I recommend it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Tech in CSE is future proof and a very good course for IT sector jobs and I was always excited working in these companies, that's why I choose the course. There are 10-12 faculties present in every department. Each faculty is M.Tech qualified and Drs. Their teaching quality is very good. 4 internal theory and 2 Lab exams happen each semester. The questions are standard, regular, and sincere students can easily pass.

Remarks:

College was good in terms of studies and many more. But now it fails in giving placement. Most of the students are still unemployed. Only 30% of the students are placed from college. Others have to find there own jobs.

Remarks:

As seeing the college from outside i expected each room tobe AC but unfortunately it's not during the summer days it's pretty hot in the top floors but it's bearable canteen food items are cheap in respect to outside and wifi isn't free and I hate that.
