Remarks :
My dream was to get into the field of hospitality and I am very happy that I joined this university as the college offers a perfect environment for students to study. I cannot point any bad points about this college as everything is good and perfect. The labs, library faculty all are good. The best thing about the college is the placement offered, as it assures 100 percent placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is a three-year course consisting of 6 semesters. The 3rd and 4th has an industrial training. The course mainly focuses on hospitality management with more of practical classes. We have two internal exams and a main final exam each semester. The marks obtained in the internal exams are added to the final marks.
Placement Experience :
Our college is known for its placements and internships. Every year all the students pass out with an offer letter in reputed companies. Last year our seniors got placed in different areas like 2% of the students in revenue management and airlines, 45% in hotels and restaurants and the rest in the nutrition departments. Our esteemed recruiters are Oberoi, Taj, Marriott, Hyatt etc. All the companies that come for recruitment are star hotels. Internship is also provided in good hotel with good stipend.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee for IHM Hyderabad varies depending on the course an aspirant pursues at college. For B.Sc. in BSc Hospitality and Hotel Administration: Rs 2.64 lakhs which is not very less but once the student gets enrolled in this institute they get more exposure to the current scenario in the food industries. The placement opportunity is also very good at our college.
Campus Life :
We have a lot of cultural activities conducted every semester. Students are encourages to participate in it. Sports tournament is also a part of our college. All the students participate in the tournaments with full energy and our college receive medal every year in nation and inter college competitions. Our college is also known for its library piled with plenty of books. We have digital classes with modern facilities of teaching aids.
Admission :
Hotel Management Institute (IHM) offers B.Sc. program admission through IIHM eCHAT entrance exam with a valid score. The minimum eligibility requirement for admission to this course requires applicants to have marks of at least 50 per cent in 10 + 2 with English as one of the core subjects. The application fee is INR 600. Candidates must have a minimum age of 17 to apply. The maximum age limit is 22 years. English is a core subject which must be learned at the preceding stage. Reservation is rendered in compliance with Government of India regulations. Application is processed online or offline. Faculty :
IHM provides the best teaching staff with more than 10 years of experience. Most of the faculty have passed out from the same university which helps us to get more experience and good placement. Teachers are very supportive and help us whenever we don? understand any practical. Here student teachers relationship is very good.
