INIFD - one of the best design schools

Remarks :

The college is highly underrated, we got so much exposure studying there. The mentor-mentee scheme was highly affective as we could take advantage of picking our mentors brain and learn new things on the industry or even get great advise.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Our curriculum was research-based and tried to develop our understanding of technical skills using creative methods. We got the opportunity to use what we have learned in real-life and improve ourselves according to international standards. Our curriculum was inspired by the recent market trends and keeps evolving.

Placement Experience :

Every student had a mentor that would help you and advise you on what we had to do. You might not get placed under designers but you get the help needed to think about job opportunities. The mentor system means you also get to work on your portfolio or decide what you want to do or need to do.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The course fees are quite practical when you compare them to the other courses offered in other colleges. I spent about 61,000 rupees for the entire course. With the exposure, we get from the course the amount we spent on fees is not pricey.

Campus Life :

Our extracurricular activities were mostly fashion weeks where we could showcase our designs. Some lucky students also had the opportunity to go to Lakme Fashion week and experience that. All our activities like the seminar and workshops were based on the fact that they wanted us to better ourselves.

Admission :

Our admission process was quite simple. We were asked to submit our graduation certificates and marksheets as well. We were judged on the basis of merits we had scored. The admission to our college is quite straightforward.

Faculty :

We had the best faculty members ever. They made sure we felt welcome and also felt that we were learning something. They were always available to us via phone, email or even in person. They made sure we were comfortable and felt included

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is very detailed and intricate, including some real life skills like communication, resume making etc ... I have no complaints regarding course as course not only prepare us for net exam also teaches us skills in bee keeping, fish keeping , etc depending on course mine is zoology Improvement, can be done by reducing the time duration of classes as University is very hectic classes last very long hours and it is very tough for new students with general elective subjects in first few years , as University perimeter from sector 14 and sector 25 , student have to rush from one sector to another for classes for general elective subjects. Teaching methods are impressive in my department and most of the departments Exams are not that frequent usually mid terms per 2.5 months and then final terms in further 2.5 months, practical work is very much and very hectic, practical exams are really difficult, but therios are at mediocrity

Placement Experience:

From last year students are eligible for placement drives. Accenture, tata consulting and codeyoung recently visited. The highest package as of now is ctc 7.5lpa. For placements priority is given to the engineering students. Comparatively we science students get less chances of getting placed.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students are eligible for campus placement ( only those students who have aggregate equals to or more than 60 and have no backlogs in previous semesters) Mainly private companies come for campus placements. Companies like Fanuc, EPL, Mexico, moderate, Hawkins, have are visited and packages of 3.5 lakhs are provided by these companies. About 90% of students are placed every year during campus placements. I want to do a job in BHEL.
