Course Curriculum Overview :

I had opted for Electrical Engineering. It was very elaborate with few courses of Mechanical like Thermodynamics, Power Plant Engineering and Fluid Mechanics. Which developed us as over all engineer not only electrical or electronics.

Placement Experience :

Placement was more than 90% of the students who had completed their curriculum successfully. The companies which had come were from all the streams like IT,Engineering, Manufacturing, Marketing,PSUHLL,EIL,GAIL,L&T,TCIL,Honeywell,Daewoo, Maruti,TCS, TataInfotech.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Tution fee was per semester Rs 1.67 lac which is too expensive. For a total period of 3 years it costs around 6 lacs for the academis. Apart from that the hostel fees and exam fees are also included. Thus, it is expensive and not very affordable for the middle class students.

Campus Life :

We used to have Engifest which was a very big event with a budget of about 10-20 Lakhs way back in 90's which was a very good amount during that time. It was a big event with participation from colleges and university from North India.

Hostel Facilities :

I was a day scholar so writing about the hostel faclity in detail will not be correct but we had friends who were in the hostels. Hostel was very ordinary and mess was manged by the students which I think resulted in satisfactory food being served to them.

Admission :

After completing my 12th boards, I secured good marks. After that I decided to apply here in this college where I got the admission on the basis of my 12th marks and also as I fulfilled other criteria which were mentioned.

Faculty :

Faculty was one of the best in India. The mechanical Dept was also very good and famous due to the esteemed faculties and renowned lecturers. The faculty for electronics was also really good. Overall it was one of the best.

Placement Experience:

For third semester students are eligible for campus placement. Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Hitachi and many more companies are visit for placement in chandigarh university. Highest package is 24 lakhs average is 6 lakhs. Above 80 percent of students are placed. I plan is take campus placement in 3rd semester.

Life at Sd College

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is pretty good. If you have interest in it you can do much better. This course helps you to face many real life problems as it prepares you for the future. The areas to improve will be that if you can use the data and knowledge you are gaining here, you should use that in practical way as the practical knowledge in college was not that good. The time period of exams will be 3hrs. They are not that difficult. If you are going to exam and you have read even the pointers or the important questions you can get the good marks from it.

All about the College (CU)

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good but this year no of placement is less as compare to the last year. In B.E. From 6 semster student were eligible for placement and all this big MNC visit the campus for placement like Infosys, Microsoft,etc.this 9000+ offer were there. Near about 70% student get placement. My plans after the degree I want to became the data analytics after the completion of course.

The placements are average in CU. Students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd year onwards Many companies such as TCS,Google, Microsoft and 9000+ offers were made during placement times.The highest package in CU was 24 lakh CTC and avg package is around 7 lakh.

Remarks:

the facilities provided by PU to its students and more over the location is Chandigarh, providing a good environment, infrastructure, return on investment as well the faculty is of great knowledge providing much insight on topic, then ambience it provides inside the campus and apart from academics it also offers many extra curricular activities.

Placement Experience:

so in our last batch AROUND 30 companies visited, few of them were KPMG, DELLOITTE, HDFC BANK and students got arround 10 lakh average salary
