Entrance Preview :

I took IIT JEE and scored only 68I had a good ranking in my 12th and 10th. So, that helped me get into the univerisity quite easyThe reason I selected this univ is cuz of the scholarship and the reviews stating that teaching is good. The course - its just because I like it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It is awesome. But every even semester is a short semester and you have to concentrate a lot as they would be rushing the topics. Curriculum is pretty strict to the topics. If you want to explore more, you have to take your own steps to become practical.

Internships Opportunities :

I am not particularly sure about it. But I think that they provide it.But Im sure the M.Tech students are in teaching as a side part. They get paid around 8k / month for taking some classes.

Placement Experience :

Placements are moderate to be honest. I have no idea about the packages that they offer. Mostly, the companies that come in are the IT sector companies and very less core companies. If one has taken some extra courses like short term courses, then he would be having a better oppurtunity.

College Events :

Too many culturals and seminars happens from time to time. You are free to attend any seminars, for which you would be given On-Duty attendance. Culturals happen from time to time, of which 1 cultural is amajor event every semester. You can take part in inter-college events for which you can OD provided you get authorised from concerned authority.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For aerospace/aeronautics, it is around 2.5lakh for the first year, and around 2 lakh for 2nd, 3rd, 4th years. For other courses, it is 1.8lakh for the first year, 1.5lakh for 2nd, 3rd, 4th years. There is no installments, and you have to pay the fee usually in the month of february/march.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

They are providing good number of scholarships for toppers in the extrance exam conducted by univerisity itself, merit ranking in the 10th and 12th, other cases that I have heard includes the very poor economic background and so.

Campus Life :

Campus life is really good. You can enjoy a lot. Gender ratios depend on which course, for example, mechanical would have the least to no girls while other department has a different ratio. Diversity is full greenish environment. Labs are decent, neither too bad nor too good. Sports - they have a good and big ground , a basket ball ground, and a horse riding place.

Exam Structure :

It comprises of 4 exams a semester2 internal exams and 1 model exam and a end-semester examinternal exams constitute for 10marks each, model for 10, attendance would constitue for 10 and assignment for 10. This makes 50 . The other 50 is from the end semester exam.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
