Heaven in Jammu and Kashmir

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is based on both the degrees of BA and LLB. During this whole academic I'm having total 10 semesters to go through. Whole curriculum is divided in these 10 semesters. Law related every topic is present in the syllabus.

Placement Experience :

Placement and internships are good in numbers but as students either go for higher education or for training that they do not switch job after completion of the degree. I don't know what percentage of student will apply for job in my placement week but previous year it was quite low

College Events :

College is situated in Jammu and you can assume the weather of Jammu which makes this Institute a heaven. During winters we often get snowfall in which we play with our friends. Weather here is a very big reason for boosting our brain adapting power.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Very feasible for middle class. Fee was either be paid in one time or in installments. For one year I need to submit 70 thousand. In this fee, tuition, exam, lab, cultural charges was taken from us. I sometimes pay some money during fest etc

Campus Life :

Extra curricular activities here are basically related with law. We have debates in parliament style where we keep our points against our competitors. Various department quizzes are organised in a daily manner.

Admission :

They offered two kinds of courses in which first was an integrated course of BA and LLB as well as the second course was just LLB. I applied to this college via online mode as college was faraway from my house. After giving entrance .i.e., MAHCET Law I became eligible for the addmission

Faculty :

All are very famous lawyers who are giving their precious time in making us understand the syllabus and make our future bright and successful. They teach us with the help of ppt, and other modern methods available in the campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is average as theory teaching is very good but at the same time practical teachings are very bad . There are hardly any tours outside the university. There should be practical teachings and teachers should make friendly environment.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements in their 4th year ie. 7-8th semester. All the major recruiters like TCS, Infosys, IBM, Samsung, L&T, Lowes, GAIL, NHPC, and many Govt. PSUs visit the campus for recruitment. A product-based giant like Microsoft has also visited the campus for placement. Average Package of all the branches is around 6-7 lac and for CS/IT the avg package is 11-12 lacs. The highest package last year was of 22 lacs offered by GAIL India to a student from mechanical engineering. 3 students from CS/IT and one from ECE were offered a package of 19 lacs by Lowes India. Many students go for higher studies to top foreign Universities and some in India's top Institutes.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is limited in MIET as far as i am concerned, as this was the situation during my time. Hardly 2-3 companies visited and not many were placed. We had to go to other colleges at our expense to be able to sit for placement. College authorities sometimes, however, do try and help in grooming and letting the students know if any placement opportunities are available near by for the students to go. Infineon visited the campus claiming to offer 10 LPA, but the students after completing the training were offered only up to 4LPA. Other companies like Amazon came for Non-technical jobs as well offering upto 3 LPA so that can be considered lower side. Now a days i hear that students are offered up to 8-10 LPA in edu-tech companies. Upto 20% students used to get placement through MIRT during my time but the numbers seem to have risen. I am out of college and is working in an MNC in NCR region.

Remarks:

One of the best institutes in India with the best curriculum of the country. The thing I liked the most about this college if the teaching methodology. It revolves around imparting practical knowledge and finding real world problem- solutions.

Placement Experience:

We had major mnc's in our campus and there were 84 companies for 68 students. Job profiles offered were at par with their specializations. The institute provides all the support in terms of infrastructure and facilities for smooth conduct of the recruitment process. The organizations may also conduct online/off-campus selection process with prior information to the placement office.

Admission:

Any student seeking admission to this college should be completed SSLC or equivalent which is approved by the state board. We have to fill the application and submit along with all required documents. We will be called to the college for interview and verification.

Placement Experience:

As far as I know, we do not have a separate placement wing, but our college is preparing to start a new department. Currently we get opportunities from our alumni or through our professors. The college usually posts jobs in our students portal.

Placement Experience:

No companies visited the campus. So no average package. You have to find a job for yourself ringing every doorbell. A few students got placed in Govt. Sect.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is Good but not the College, Feels like we are in the nursery, Research must be a joke.No patients for practical learning.
