Entrance Preview :
AIEEE, as I am a resident of Nagpur I always wanted to get into VNIT as it was the most reputed college in Nagpur and the entry was available only through AIEEE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Maths Physics and Chemistry were the subjects to be studied then and i scored most of the marks in physics and chemistry. Now a days a single JEE exam is to be cleared for admission.
Internships Opportunities :
Being the first batch our department was exempted from internship so we have to arrange internship for ourselves if intrested. Many of my colleagues done internships in MIDC nagpur and few went outside Nagpur for internships. I heard that for other departments internships were arranged by the faculty and college.
Placement Experience :
As 2010 was having recession only 60% of the students were placed but after that I heard in coming years the placements were improved drastically.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Its feasible. It was around fifteen thousand when I was there in the college, in that period rest of the private college in nagpur were gaving around fifty thousand per year fees hence it was very less compared to orher colleges.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Laptops were provided to backward classes students, some other scholarships were also available but I dont have much idea.
Alumni/Alumna :
The alumni association is very strong and they always help the poor students and bring various companies for placements. In all the extra curricular events the alumni used to visit the college to interact with the students and for boosting their confidence.
Exam Structure :
Its good and its chilled out. There are two prelims of 15 march each in each sem and a final exam of 60 marks rest 10 marks were internals depending on faculty and assignments.
Faculty :
In first year the faculty was good but as we were the first batch of Chemical engg and technology the faculty which was newly appointed was average. In second year we were thought by the chemistry faculty only and in third year dedicated faculty were appointed in which some were great and rest were average.
