Course Curriculum Overview :

In this college I had applied for PhD program in agriculture. The course structure focuses on the research. The guides are really helpful and we get too much of informations to learn.The & project coordinators were for groundnut, rapeseed-mustard, sesame and niger, linseed, castor, safflower, and sunflower.

Placement Experience :

This Institute of is the best placements to the students and also the internships. Students learn much from practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. Every year the great companies look forward to hide the students from IIOR because there is the best in the agricultural fields.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure differs from courses to courses and also sometimes there is ups and downs in the fee structure. As I have opted for PhD in agriculture my fee per year is 1.85 lacs. As this is one of the top ranked Institute the fee is quite expensive but never the less it goes in vain because this college offers the best courses in the best way possible to the students.

Campus Life :

This Institute conducts various extra curricular activities not only related to the subject matter but also related to worldly matters such as focusing on the gender ratio, cultural diversity and many more. This Institute has many collaborationssuch as ICAR Oilseeds Institutes - DGR, Junagadh, Bharatpur, Jabalpur, Indore AICRP, SESAME and Niger, Kanpur and the like. ICAR Institutes - Hyderabad, Cuttack, Kanpur, New Delhi, DSR, Pusa, Jabalpur, Bhubaneswar, IIPR, Kanpur and the like.

Admission :

Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research is one of the premier Oilseeds Research Institute in India. Admission seekers must have passed 10 + 2 you from CBSE board or any board with 50% and above in their results. For admission in the Universities specifically located in non-Hindi speaking areas, the candidate must have passed English as a core subject in 10+2 examination. While submitting the application, the candidate must ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility criteria in entirety. Candidate must have passed UG/PG for PhD courses.

Faculty :

The ratings of this colleges 4.5 out of 5 and this shows that this is one of the best colleges in India. It collabs with different agricultural institutes and has received many awards. This is mainly because of the reason of the faculty and the principal of the college who always supports the students and are very approachable to them. They always comes up with innovative ideas and encourage the students true love for nature.

Placement Experience:

Here, students can try for internships in the 3rd year. Some students who want to pursue higher education like MTech or MBA or PhD don't go for placements and internships. The placement rounds happen in the 4th year where many companies come to the campus, exams and interviews are conducted to shortlist students. For example, in my branch of civil engineering, the placement percentage last year was 50%, with the average package being around 14 lacs. Many companies come to the campus and the highest package last year was 90 lacs which was for a quant role. There are mostly companies coming for SDE and AI/ML roles. The number of companies coming for Consulting or product management roles is quite declining over the years. My plan is to try for placement in some Tech company, and work for some years then pursue a MBA.

There are placements prvided by our college. They claim to give 98 percent placements but the process is a bit hard. So there are 2 exams of aptitude conducted by college before we can even get in. So after we pass both the exams we will be trained and sent for interviews.
