National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH) is a research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It was established in 1970 in Mumbai by combining two ICMR units, the Reproductive Physiology Unit and the Contraceptive Testing Unit. The institute offers degrees to M.Sc. and Ph.D. students in various disciplines. Additionally it provides summer/winter training for the students.
The institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Admissions are offered on the basis of Entrance Exam conducted by University of Mumbai/ GATE/SET/CSIR-UGC NET/ JRF or NEST with Graduation. The candidates should acquire a minimum 60% for General Category and 55% for SC/ST Category. The institute provides Fellowship for the candidates who have passed the JRF exam.

The course is good and it overall helps one to develops confidence and think beyond average.
The course curriculum has been constructed very well. The M.sc course is a two year course, and there are total four semesters in the entire course, at the end of each semester an exam is conducted.
Our course curriculum was made by keeping in mind the fact of not over burdening the students so tht they can study in a stress-free environment, The P.H.D course is of total three years and in a year there are two semesters so there are total six semesters in the course there are regular tests , quizzes and practical assessments conducted, but the examination are conducted at the end of the semester.
The examination is taken by the end of the year. The research-based course syllabus which is made with extra care covers all the sections of biochemistry and biotechnology. The three years course of my Ph.D. helped me get all the necessary knowledge about the field.
The full-time M.sc course which the college provides for 2 years in various fields of Biochemistry, Applied Biology and Life Science. It covers all the aspects of the field. There are various short test which happen during the year and a final exam which happens at the end of the year.
In the course duration of two years, we were exposed to research and also on campus training sessions with practical exposures were also given. The days were usually hectic since the course is tough.
The course curriculum is designed in such a way that focus is given on research and analysis. The exam pattern is in a form of semester system and more or less the days are hectic only when practicals are scheduled.
The college provides degree in the course of M.Sc. The college also conducts various types of exams like mock test or practical and theoretical based test to increase the knowledge of students, this also helps the college to see whether the students are gaining some knowledge or not.
MSc life science is a post graduate program which has the duration of 2 years. The course structure is well organized and is updated and revised periodically. The days are generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.
The college is very helpful in getting students jobs and internships with a high stipend and job security.
