Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is offered in full time regular mode for 3 years of duration. We are surrounded by various assignments, lab works, case based studies. We have to submit our PhD thesis within the given time period. All this workload makes the degree hectic by the end of the day.

Placement Experience :

It is an appropriate stream for the students who want to do research in areas of plant physiology, plant genetics, nutrients management, soil and water, crop management, and pest management. The students can enter in various fields like Agriculture Sectors, Food Processing Plants, Organic Farming, FMCG Companies, Subject Matter Specialist, Educational Institutes, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee for PhD varies among different institution. Some demand really high fee whereas the fee of some institutes is affordable. various PhD scholarships and fellowships are also offered to the students that can be used to help cover the cost of tuition, books and other fees.

Campus Life :

The institute organizes number of guest lectures, seminars, workshops, industrial visits which enables students to enjoy their living outside the labs.This also provides them the ability to present their work to higher dignities.

Admission :

For my admission in PhD., I had to appear for AICE SRF PGS which is an entrance examination for candidates aspiring to take admission in research programs. I was shortlisted on the basis of merit in entrance exam and had to appear in the campus for counselling and Personal Interview. One can apply for this institute through its official website and make the required application payment.

Faculty :

The faculties are knowledgeable and assist and guide the students in conducting research work. They are available in the hour of need during the college hours and even after the college. They are highly talented as they are appointed after various qualification checks.

Placement Experience:

Here, students can try for internships in the 3rd year. Some students who want to pursue higher education like MTech or MBA or PhD don't go for placements and internships. The placement rounds happen in the 4th year where many companies come to the campus, exams and interviews are conducted to shortlist students. For example, in my branch of civil engineering, the placement percentage last year was 50%, with the average package being around 14 lacs. Many companies come to the campus and the highest package last year was 90 lacs which was for a quant role. There are mostly companies coming for SDE and AI/ML roles. The number of companies coming for Consulting or product management roles is quite declining over the years. My plan is to try for placement in some Tech company, and work for some years then pursue a MBA.
