THE FIRST THING TO BE SAID ABOUT THE COLLEGE IS THE CLIMATE. THE PLACE IS HAVING MISTY CLIMATE AND MILD COLD. THE COLLEGE IS ALSO KNOWN FOR ITS TEACHING, CLASSES, LIBRARY ETC. ABOUT THE ADMISSION PROCESS FOR UNDERGRADUATE, THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE TO APPLY FOR THE DESIRED COURSES THROUGH THE OFFICIAL SITE OF THE COLLEGE, LATER IF THE STUDENT IS BEING SHORTLISTED THEN HE WILL BE HAVING AN INTERVIEW WITH THE FACULTIES OF THE DEPARTMENT. BUT IN THE CASE OF POSTGRADUATE COURSES, 1ST THERE WILL BE AN ENTRANCE, IN THE DEPARTMENTS LIKE MSW THEY WILL BE HAVING GROUP DISCUSSIONS AND INDIVIDUAL INTERVIEW. THE REASON TO SELECT THIS COLLEGE OVER OTHERS IS BECAUSE THE COLLEGE IS HAVING RANK INTERNATIONALLY THAN OTHERS AND ALSO THE CAMPUS AND THE PROGRAMMES ARE LIT.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I WAS ALWAYS INTERESTED IN SOCIAL SERVICE SO THAT I TOOK BSW IN COLLEGE. BUT THEN I UNDERSTOOD THAT I WILL BE LEARNING ABOUT PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL WORK. THERE ARE 60 SEATS ALLOTTED FOR BSW AND 30 SEATS FOR MSW. ABOUT THE FACULTY THERE ARE YOUNG AND OLDER FACULTIES WHO ARE HAVING DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES IN SOCIAL WORK. ALL THE FACULTIES HAD COMPLETED THERE M.PHIL IN ANY OF THE SUBJECTS THAT IS RELATED WITH THE SOCIAL WORK. EACH ONE OF THEM ARE HAVING them ON WAY OF TEACHING. AUT THE EXAMS THERE ARE TOTAL 4 EXAMS IN A SEMESTER. THEY ARE CA1, CA2, CA3, AND SEMESTER EXAM. CA1, CA2, AND CA3(MODEL EXAM) ARE THE INTERNAL EXAMS. THEY ARE DONE THROUGH THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE MARIAN COLLEGE CALLED MOODLE. CA1 AND CA2 WILL BE OBJECTIVE TYPE EXAMS.

THE COLLEGE OFFERS INTERNSHIPS WITH STIPEND AND WITHOUT STIPEND FOR THE STUDENTS FOR HAVING THEIR OWN EXPERIENCES.

THERE WILL BE 100% PLACEMENTS FOR THE STUDENTS OF THE COLLEGE. THE COMPANIES LIKE KPMG, JIO, INFOPARK, TECHNOPARK, DIFFERENT BANKS ETC WILL COME TO THE COLLEGE FOR THE RECRUITMENT.

IF WE SAY ABOUT THE FEES, IT WILL COST ABOUT LAKHS OVERALL FOR THE COURSE INCLUDING UNIFORM, FIELDWORK EXPENSES, RESEARCH EXPENSES ETC. THE COURSE OFFERS JOB PLACEMENT TOO.

Campus Life :

FOR THE STUDENTS OF MARIAN COLLEGE CAN ENJOY EACH AND EVERY FESTS. ONE OF THE MAIN FEST IS KNOWN AS CALIGO. IT IS AN INTERNATIONAL FEST COORDINATE DBY THE MBA STUDENTS. THERE WILL BE CULTURAL NIGHT FOR THE 1ST EVENING AND DJ NIGHT FOR THE 2ND EVE. IT WILL BE CONDUCTED IN THE TIME OF OCTOBER. THEN ONAM, CHRISTMAS, ARTS DAY, DEPARTMENT FESTS, INTERCOLLEGE FESTS, SPORTS DAY ETC ARE ALSO CELEBRATED. THE ANNUAL FEST IS THE SECOND BEST PROGRAMME IN THE COLLEGE.

•College has an active placement cell that does everything in their ability to provide maximum number of placement for students. It doesn't guarantee placement, but try to increase the odds of it. •Placement training is given to students regularly •A good number of students do get placements each year.

Christ college irinjalakuda: A hub of Excellency and Opportunity

Course Curriculum Overview:

BSW provides me with such an opportunity. However, the teachers sometimes lag the portions making it difficult towards the end-semester exams. The course helps you face the real world by entering field work which is a part of my curriculum that helps me build my confidence while dealing with clients.

In the third year, students become eligible for placements (my degree was a three year degree, it might be different when it becomes a four year degree). Interested students are given training for interviews, GDs and job selection processes by the placement cell in the college. I had not applied for placement, so I don't know the details of the salary package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum deals with the basic knowledge of Social work. The course deals with basics like the introduction to social work , psychology, sociology and all. There is also field work in each semester which will be sent from the college itself to different agencies. The faculties can be only rated average as there is no experienced faculties. The exams are conducted semester wise and internals twice in each semester.
