  • Teachers of my department are not upto the mark in my opinion. Their teaching methods and attitude towards the children is so outdated
  • The constant reasons college finds to remit some sort of fees from students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

•The field work, internship, research etc. is main attraction of the curriculum •As a social work trainee, the curriculum is really helpful and it puts the trainees through lot of real life situations and enables them to handle it professionally. •The syllabus is good but it certainly needs regular updations in the fast moving world. •The semester exams are conducted in every 3-4 months and the invigilation is pretty strict

Internships Opportunities :

•The college offers some great internship programs •Internship allows students to explore areas of their profession and get real life experience for certain situations. •There aren't a lot of internship opportunities with stipend.

Placement Experience :

•College has an active placement cell that does everything in their ability to provide maximum number of placement for students. It doesn't guarantee placement, but try to increase the odds of it. •Placement training is given to students regularly •A good number of students do get placements each year.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

•As a student with Merit admission, my fees is around 25000 an year. •Scholarships and discounts are available for minority, financially backward students etc. •Hostel facilities cost around 5000 per month

Campus Life :

•There are a lot of festivals and programs to enjoy regularly •The Library is top notch and consists of a wide variety of books. •There are basic facilities and technology in the classrooms but there is scope for improvement. •The college offers great support to sports and extra curricular activities •There are lot of purposeful clubs and social groups like Nss, Csa, Thavanish, Film club etc.

Hostel Facilities :

•College hostel fee is around 4500 per month •There are basic facilities, not top tier. •Meal is pretty good, there might be repetition in menu, but it is expected. •Registration process for hostel can be enquired through the Warden •There are also lot of rented rooms and PGs available nearby the college

Admission :

•Eligibility of the course-+2 certificate •Application details can be found in the college's official site. •Reservation benefits can be enquiried during admission process •Suggestion-Favoritism and personal bias shouldn't affect admission

Faculty :

•There are enough faculty in our department to handle classes •The faculty of my department has pretty great credentials on paper but it didn't feel so in real life. Their approach to teaching felt pretty outdated to me and the mentorship isn't really all that great. With all respect, the Ego of teachers is really too big. •Some teachers do take interest in interacting with you and understanding your needs but it is rare.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BSW provides me with such an opportunity. However, the teachers sometimes lag the portions making it difficult towards the end-semester exams. The course helps you face the real world by entering field work which is a part of my curriculum that helps me build my confidence while dealing with clients.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nowadays the relevance of social work is very high. More than the academic level one must be really interested and active socially. They want to prepare themselves to be ready for any work suddenly. Social work students want to initiate their own programs for the seek of the needy so those who are ready to spend their time and effort for them are capable of this course.

Placement Experience:

In the third year, students become eligible for placements (my degree was a three year degree, it might be different when it becomes a four year degree). Interested students are given training for interviews, GDs and job selection processes by the placement cell in the college. I had not applied for placement, so I don't know the details of the salary package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum deals with the basic knowledge of Social work. The course deals with basics like the introduction to social work , psychology, sociology and all. There is also field work in each semester which will be sent from the college itself to different agencies. The faculties can be only rated average as there is no experienced faculties. The exams are conducted semester wise and internals twice in each semester.
