Course Curriculum Overview :
The course allows you to choose two major disciplines, I had economics and English, the course structure is such that it gives one an opportunity to explore subjects other than the disciplines with options of Generic Elective and Skill Enhancement Courses. The course curriculum provides for as in depth study of the subjects which is very helpful.
Placement Experience :
We have an active placement cell in college, but I did not sit for placements since the annual average packages are not very good. so there isn?t much I can tell. There are placements and job opportunities but they are limited.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The fee structure is feasible. It ranges between Rs7000-10,000 depending on the course. However, the expense of studying multiplies many fold as the hostel accommodation is limited and students have to arrange for private accommodations.
Campus Life :
All year round different departments and societies organise various events. There are academic seminars organised by different departments multiple times in a month. Towards the end of the academic year apart from college annual fest, every department and society organises their individual fests which contains a host of cultural as well as academic events. There is a society for every possible co-curricular activity like dramatics, debate, music, fine arts as well as academic societies too.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel accommodation is extremely nice. The rooms are big and the services provided are also good. It?s cheap and great! For students residing in PGs the average rent for a month is 8000 atleast for a decent accommodation. It goes as high as 20000 depending on the PG and services they provide
Admission :
Admission is a bit tough since the college takes students on the basis of the scores on the board exams of 12th standard so most of the times the cutoff goes very high. It's difficult too. There are atmost 3 merit lists. I am lucky I could get into it.
Faculty :
Faculty was mostly always extremely helpful and kind and do adopt creative means for dispensing knowledge. We were shown relevant movies and documentaries multiple times in classrooms. The faculty is responsive to students needs.
