Course Curriculum Overview :

The duration of our course was two years. The university provides an internship during summer so that we get industrial exposure and understand the concepts well. Once we know the practical aspect it will be easy to understand what we are studying during the courses of time.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell of our university aims to prepare, train and guide the students for campus interviews. The university organises walk-in interviews upon any vacancy from the companies that come on TU. The stipend depends upon the position the student is placed on and what job it is.

College Events :

TU organises cultural events, annual fest, freshers, sports competition, many festivals like Navratri, Holi, Independence Day, etc. Also, there is a student grievance cell available, for students facing any difficulty or they want to complain about ragging or ant any problem.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee structure at Thiruvalluvar University is both affordable and feasible. For MBA the fees are ?31,750 per year and there are in total 4 semesters. For students coming from outside, the hostel and lodging charges shall be as applicable.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes, Thiruvalluvar University does provide scholarships. You can apply for scholarships at the time of your admission. Scholarships are based on merit and also the university checks your academic scores, any sports activity you were involved in, and co-curriculum activity.

Campus Life :

The campus is what I miss the most.  The university has University CM cell, Canteen, Disability centre, guest rooms, e-content library, sports ground, CCTV surveillance, club facilities etc. The university also holds video lectures. There is a strict anti-ragging policy.

Admission :

I was admitted to TU with a sports scholarship. I played basketball in highschool and my academic scores were pretty good which got me admission here. The university also has reserved seats for minority communities and otherbackward classes.

Faculty :

The faculty was great. The would solve our queries whenever asked. They have enough knowledge in their field of subjects. Some of them are also strict and we needed to ensure complete discipline while the class was going on. But they were all understanding and helpful.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate is great in this college. Last year placement rate was 96.5% and the second last year it was around 94.7%. In my batch, the most noteworthy bundle of a student was 14 LPA and the least bundle was 6.5 LPA and the most noteworthy bundle is 9.5 LPA and the least was 5.6 LPA. The top companies that recruited us for placements are Microsoft, HCL, Citi Bank, Mahindra, Tata, Wipro, Google, etc. Currently, I am working with Flipkart as a full-time employee and got placed because of my 3-month internship with them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for the MBA course is researched well. Also, the exam structure followed by the university is quite decent as well. My exam experience with them till now was easy to comprehend. The entire faculty of the MBA department is qualified and extremely professional in their domain. They have always made me understand every single point with utmost clarity. I respect all my professors of the department.

Remarks:

Overall the College is a good college. But there are too many levels of hierarchy. We never really know who is the main head of the institution because there are so many people like Principal, Chairman, Director, Coordinator etc. The university the college is affiliated under is not good. Anna University is keen on looting student's money.
