Remarks :

The college was established way back in the year 2000-01. It still has that beautiful mini campus with accurate architecture covering every area of the whole campus plus a 'walking path' kept on the boundaries. Well ventilated classrooms, continuous Wi-Fi access, 24*7 study room, and on-demand classroom provided for study, filtered chilled drinking water, a large auditorium with attached swimming pool beneath. State-of-the-art Gym and medicare facility etc. are some of the features to boast of. The admission process usually takes place in February first week. There is a call for the GD-PI process for shortlisted students. The final selected students' merit list is declared consecutively from the month of March. This college is above any other IT college in Pune for pursuing MBA (even better in Symbiosis University's own league of IT colleges) Name and Placements are as always the factors which stand apart.

Course Curriculum Overview :

A course in MBA (Data Sciences and Data Analytics) is like pursuing MS from any overseas reputed University. It is a fully technical course, conceptualized using the latest syllabus and industrial tools used in the IT sector. Yet the core MBA subjects like finance, practices of management, economics, BFSI, etc.. form a relevant part of the syllabus. Timely feedback (for faculty, subjects, administration, etc.) and yearly up-gradation in syllabus based on the same is a practice followed in this institute. Sports, Cultural, and other extra-curricular activities like a typical part in any MBA college are held here round the year. Faculty: Student easily goes 1:18. Teaching is no-doubt fantastic, professors are accessible till 5.30 pm after lectures get over. Exams are typically on the moderate side, yet to study one's ass off (just like an engineer's night study) and give exam under strict supervision.

Internships Opportunities :

The internship is provided in the month of April for a period of 3 months. Most of the firms are key players in IT, telecom, and some from the FMCG sector. For early joiners and well-performing candidates in 1st year, the stipend goes up to 30k or more.

Placement Experience :

Around 95%-100% of students generally placed each year. The placement team is at its best to provide you with the best career-oriented job. Jobs are provided in Big 4 consulting companies as well as other well-reputed firms. Profiles offered are in Cybersec, Risk Consulting, Auditing for MBA (ITBM) batch, and positions for a data scientist, data/business analyst for MBA (DSDA) students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

fees is typically Rs.325000 (max.) for one semester i.e approx. 13lakh for a two-year duration. This includes overall Accommodation, internet, Mess, Gym, Swimming, hot water, and room maintenance. Scholarship as such a student has to search for various govt. and private scholarships available online. Internal scholarship from Symbiosis University as such is given to meritorious and well-performing students. Internships are also provided at the end of the first year (some free and some stipend based). Job provided with average salary approx. 6.5Lpa.

Campus Life :

Social Life is very easy going. You will make friends from different cultures and different parts of India. Annual Fest 'Graffiti' usually happens around 18-20 Jan. Other committee based events take place around the year. A lot of guest lectures and social responsibility events. Well ventilated classrooms usually sitting strength between 50-100 persons at a time (based on size). Projectors and audio devices enabled classrooms with proper sitting arrangements. Special AC labs present wherein IT lectures, workshops, and mini-seminars do take place. Placement Committee, ITELF club for young aspiring entrepreneurs, ISR club, Alumni committee, Admission committee are some of the common clubs and committees found just like in other management colleges. Ascertaining to the fact that the Library is heavily equipped with Books, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, and E-Journals. The college has tie-ups with international well-reputed journals and catalogues. Individual cabins like sitting arrangement.

Hostel Facilities :

Availing the Hostel facility is compulsory to all. Hostel Fees are calculated in fee structure itself (no additional charges). Lan based Internet, Hot water facility (6.30-10.30 am), 3 sharing room with an individual chair, table, and cabinet (No AC). Meal provided is on the 3-time basis and one evening complimentary breakfast. Lunch and Dinner are adequate in taste but the Best in Quality-wise the food is a mild-tasting type (Not spicy nor bland) as per everyone's tastes'. 3 times non-veg food in a week and special dishes like Pav Bhaji and Chinese included on special days. For the last 20 years, probably no case of food poisoning, bad food, or any unhygienic management.

Interview Experience :

After giving the SNAP exam (in Dec-Jan), Candidates have to apply for each desirous course in each of the desired colleges separately through the official Symbiosis website. E.g. SCIT college has two streams: MBA (ITBM) and MBA (DSDA), so candidates have to fill stream-wise separate forms(each approx. Rs.1100), guessing that they may get selected to either of the streams based on their performance in GD-PI-WAT process (details are given below). GD-PI-WAT (Group Discussion-Written Ability Test-Personal Interview) process: Freshers and Lateral entries both are welcomed. February first week: shortlisted candidates from SNAP are called for the GD-PI-WAT process. It just a basic selection criteria process wherein: 1) GD topics are current affair based or any abstract topic to speak about. 2) A 20 min written test on very basic topics like E-com or Waste mgmt. 3) Most important is PI wherein knowledge of your domain of expertise is thoroughly checked. Knowledge abt IT (languages and trends) is a big Plus.
