Remarks :
College management needs to loosen up a bit. They are too strict as if running a school. But otherwise everything is really great and well in control.
Course Curriculum Overview :
After my graduation the college was granted autonomous status and my comments on this question are irrelevant now. We used to follow Pune University curriculum and exams. It was not a very good format. It did not help in real world or in securing placements. Industrial visits are organized.
Placement Experience :
Placement is excellent for the college. All top companies offer high pay packages and great opportunities. Almost 90% students are placed. But at my time, no extra efforts were taken for preparing the students for placements. Only the opportunity to appear for a good company is presented and then you are on your own.
College Events :
There 2 major events- the techfest and the cultural fest. Both the events see overwhelming participation from students both from the same college as well as all over Pune. Both the events are organized very well and are for about 4 days. They are extremely popular and the most fun days of my college life.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Fee structure was similar to any other private college. Around 1 lakh per year. The mode of payment was generally by Demand Draft or you could pay in cash. The fee structure was transparent with the breakdown provided. No additional fees had to be paid for the course.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I did not opt for any loan or scholarship. As far as I am aware, there was no such scholarship provided except for regular fee exemption according to government rules.
Campus Life :
It's a girls college. The tolerance is pretty high and I have never seen the girls excluding someone on the basis of factors like ethnicity or religion. There are a lot of options for extracurriculars such as robotics club, mechanics club, dance club, sports teams and much more. College is quite supportive as well. Hostel is quite strict and parties are not allowed at all.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes. Hostel rooms are provided on triple sharing basis. Hostel seats are plenty and there are also many PGs and private hostels nearby. The hostels are well maintained although a bit old. There are multiple mess to try out and TV rooms in every hostel.
Alumni/Alumna :
No there is no strong alumni network and I have never benefitted from any senior as such. Even in college there is limited interaction of seniors and juniors.
Admission :
I got admission through the merit list based on CET score. The admission happens along with other colleges of Maharashtra state. The admission rounds start around June. I opted for this college because it was one of the top colleges in Maharashtra, very reputed with good faculty and learning environment as well as good placement prospects. I opted for Computer Engineering as it seemed the most interesting branch to me and also the one with highest placements.
Faculty :
For every semester there would be 5 subjects and 5 professors for each subject. Some were excellent and very thorough with their knowledge. But not everyone was upto the mark. They were all qualified as per the requirements and many of them were even pursuing PHDs.
