Like other colleges under CU it follows the guidelines of Calcutta University. We have 6 semesters in total for a three year long course. Every semester exam is held after 5-6 months of the starting of that particular semester. There are internal exams, oral exam and projects.

No placement program is organised by this college. Maybe they can help in a career in sports but otherwise not.

College Events

Yearly social function is held, but not every year. The seniors sometimes arrange for freshers party, sometimes they don't, same goes for the farewell party. Yearly picnic and sports is organised. Seminars are arranged by different departments for their particular subjects.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not too high or too low, per month fee is two hundred and twenty for my course. It can be paid monthly or before the semester exam in total of the months, exam fee and other fees are not included, for applications or other needs more Money is charged.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college doesn't offer any scholarship or education loan. If you come under SC, ST or OBC category maybe a reduction in fee can be possible.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is fine but extracurricular activities doesn't exist, sometimes there are some competition is held with other colleges where you can participate if willing. If you're an athlete then you have many competitions to participate. Otherwise NCC is proactive but no other exiting curricular activities exist.

Alumni/Alumna

Union members are mostly helpful but in a limitation, Until and unless you're a member of the union.

Admission

After the results of +2 boards exam, their online portal opens for students who want to apply. You're judged by your grades in the boards exam. Within a month after applying they release total of three list for each department in the college. If your name is in that list you can go for admission.

Faculty

Every department is different, my department that is English, has quite friendly and helpful faculty. Teachers help students if they ask for help, projects and assignments are selected by the teachers and distribution is based on their Choice. You can't work on free will.

The course curriculum and faculty members are good. I chose this because English is my favourite subject.Also it you study English there are lots of opportunities present here. Student ratio is 100-120 student per department.There are 26 courses available The faculty is very standard.Teaching Method is very good because attendence is strictly followed by our college.One of the reasons teachers are committed to us .They try their level best to teach us in short time.There are projectors also used in our classes.Overall it is satisfactory. Every term exam happens in 6 months. It is very difficult to pass those exams.As our college is under VIDYASAGAR UNIVERSITY,so questions are set by them.Thats why exams are very difficult to pass.

I wanted to explore the CS stream from the beginning so I joined this program. The faculty: student ratio in BA is good and is around 1:7. All the teachers are well equipped and have complete knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. The exams were difficult as compared to the SPPU endsem exams, but that is expected from a college of such repute.

I choosen this course because of interest in the field of Information techn...ugy. Faculties are very good and they have good teaching experience. Qualification for the faculty is 7 to 8 years teaching experience and degree of PHD. Term exams held two times ever year. Difficulty is moderate.

I applied for various other colleges such as Heramba Chandra College, Prafulla Chandra College, Dinabandhu Andrews College, Bidhannagar College, KK Das College. I couldn't make it there because of the new admission process of Calcutta University. I didn't get rejection from any college. In the new process you can apply for various colleges but you can get approval for only one College and if you do not want to get admission in the college. Then you have to cancel the admission and repeat the same process again . As my college is under Calcutta University so it has to follow the university rules and process of admission....Read More

All total are good

There are no entrance exam. Addmission process is very poor . Fees structure is too high compassion other colleges. No library facilities,no cantine, no hostel facilities. No extra tution facility. But the college authorities collect fees all above facilities. Addmission process is easy for player. Charuchandra callage is also know as sports college.that because the collage athletic team , football team, and cricket team is very impressive performance. But the student if he/she introduce himself as a player he/she get no extra facility from college. I want to see college improve there fees structure.
