Remarks :
College Infrastructure: Best infrastructure and best campus location. It has awesome view in rainy season. It is very good for mental peace too. It has many good facilities. If you like studying ear the nature, you should give this college a thought. Academics: Faculties are also good. Most faculties are trained from NIt's. Many good seminars are also conducted, guest lectures too. Curriculum is bit outdated, but hey are going to update it from next semester. Placements: Placements scenario is good only if you are above average student who manages to be in top in class. Many good companies come for the placements. You can also enjoy pool placements or job fairs in the city which college approves of. Value-for-money: Yes it is valuable for money. If you really want to do something and learn, it is a good place. College provides many facilities for us. It has very good teacher - student support. If you really have dedication it is a good place. Campus Life: Campus life is very good. Students have many good and decent life, many good fests are conducted with sports events. Annual fests are conducted. It has very good environment around us. It has many good atmosphere and places to visit near us.
Course Curriculum Overview :
As this is a savitribai phule pune university's college, the exam procedure is fixed and in hands of university, and yes, faculty members in this college are highly qualified and have good exprience of teaching. site visits are held by college every 2 months in TE and BE which is helpful for gaining practical knowledge and which is industry-specific knowlege for the students helpful in securing on campus and off campus placements.
Placement Experience :
Accentue, cognizent, zenser, capgemini, etc these are the companies usually visit for the on campus placements. tentative percentage of placed students is based on the courses, for civil engineering on campus placements is less but for entc, computer, IT, on campus placements is more about 70%.
College Events :
Teacher's day- To improve presentation skills of students and communication between staff and student. TECTONIC -Techtonic is an Annual National Technical Festival of Sinhgad Techinical Education scociety which is organized each year. Students contribute to the best of their abilities make Techtonic a huge event with a great zeal. ‘Techtonicr’ as a brand has been growing ever since it commenced and this would have not been possible without the constant support of the college staff, management and the industry contribution in it. INDUSTRIAL VISITS- To give industry working exposure and technical knowledge to the students. FAREWELL- To give platform for final year students to express their views about department and to give future guidelines. and many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
program fee is about 1 to 1.3 lakh per year, demand draft is mostly accepted for college fees. no, there is no extra fees required to secure admission unless you're taking admission through managemnet quota. yes, the collge do provide transperency in fee breakdown.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, i did'nt apply but the scolarships are mostly based on the caste of the student. eigibility criteria involves the income limit of the parents which is 8 lakhs now. for education loans banks will provide the 90 percent of the total fees, rest 10% we have to pay.
Campus Life :
campus life is overall good, ragging or bullying never happens in this college and if happens that student can be suspended. gender ratio is approx. M:F=3:2. extracarricular activities are too good ad helpful for the development of students. the events held are sinhgad karandak, firodiya karandak, dadiya night, robotics, etc and some i have mentioned above.
Hostel Facilities :
No, i didint opted for the hostel but i do know about the hostel criterias. you have a choice for selecting hostel, which can be sharing or single room, sharing rooms are mostly for 3 ro 4 students per room. The fees for hostel is about 60,000 to 70,000 including mess.
Alumni/Alumna :
college seniors were very friendly, they share their expriences and mistakes so that we can learn from their mistakes and helped in studying too.There is no concept like ragging. Its forbidden & if any student violates the rules, strict actions will be taken by college authorities.
Admission :
I was interested in civil engineering thats why i opt for this college. This college is highly reputed and faculty members are good teaching and extra curricular activities are good also the campus is good. steps for admission procedure are, 1. aftr you are alloted this college based on your merit list, you have to visit the college to take admission. 2. admission procedure usually done in C3 building of SCOE, aftr you go there procedure is there sticked on the wall and there are ppl available who take care of guidance for the ppl who comes for admission, so you'll get everything once you reach in the college.
Faculty :
20-25 lecturers are there for the civil engineerig course. average age of them is about 35-40years and most of them are having phD degree and masters degree. faculty takes a good practice of numericals based questions in lectures itself and made us clear about the subject in lectures itself. and yes, the lecturers hold relevant industry-experience and certifications.
