Bigger companies will not come for campus placements

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum was good and syllabus is old one it should be changed and more projects should be done for better experience. Introducing latest topics in market will help us to get job easily and gain knowledge. Industrial visits will be only once or twice in a year, so don't expect more and sometimes not even once in a year.

Class Size : 100Course Fees : INR 50000 per year

Placement Experience :

They will not provide good placements and don't expect placements in core companies. They will bring some companies just for sake of conducting placements and they will offer only 1.5 L to 2.5L, i think this won't be affordable for B. TECH graduate to take that job. Every year infosys will come and it will recruit 40 to 50 members thats the big MNC company through our college.

College Events :

Yearly one annual event will be celebrated and sports day will also celebrated at that time only. Chess, badminton, carroms, treasure rounds etc will be conducted.Auto expo will be conducted for every two years in name of Vahana. Some other events were also conducted in department wise.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Now its not feasible, if we got scholarship then i think it will be good. They will collect fines so harsly and also condonation fee, arear fee etc will be collected strictly or else no entrance for exam. There is no special fee for selection of branch everyone is having same amount for registration fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I got scholarship from college itself based on my intermediate score and also college exam will be helpful in getting a good seat. Loans will be avail but we should give some surety for bank to get loan.

Campus Life :

Gender ratio is very low for 1 girl more than 20 boys. Labs and extracurricular activities will be carried out good in our college. We have competitions, sports,etc. There are about 4 to 5 thousand people for one academic year and also everyone are from different places and they will speak different languages and there is no particular culture but our college founder was kerala person and he will celebrate onam grandly in our college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel in your college is too costly and food is worst. Outside college there were so many PGs and affordable and good. Food was the main issue for me to convert hosteler into day scholar. And we also have many apartments near to college and it will be good if we share flat with our friends.

Hostel Fee : INR 150000 per yearExternal Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

Seniors and alumni network will be good and helpful. There are really interactive, i have done one project with seniors they are interactive but our project failed and they turned that bad things on junior's this is my experience, but not everyone not like them i have seen some good teams also.

Admission :

I have attempted the college exam and i got good score. All after i am having good merit in intermediate also and it made scholarship of 50% in tuition fee. Joining was so easy part, go to admission office in guindy and select your branch and pay registration fee. This college is having good infrastructure and lab facilities, this made me join here

Faculty :

There are sufficient member of faculty in our college. Good interaction with students, some of them will do their duty very sincerely and some will be like in sake of salary. But good knowledgeable faculty is available in college, if you really want to gain knowledge faculty will help you in any time. And they will help you in each aspect if you have done good in your duties.

Average college but a good place to study on your own

Placement Experience:

The campus placements start in the 7th semester. Due to the recession, there is a lot of backlash when it comes to placements. It has been quite poor for the last few years. But it depends on how the student is prepared for the competitive world.

Students who pursuing five and sixth semesters onwards are eligible to attend the placements and internship. Mostly the IT companies are visited frequently and core companies are low. The Highest package is 9LPA. The percentage of college placement is 78 percent. I planned to make higher studies after my degree.

Reality of Veltech

Placement Experience:

Placement is good for the CSE and IT departments. You can't expect placement if you belong to other departments, there is a placement for the other departments but very less. Campus placement starts in 3rd year itself. They have special classes for Aptitude skills and interview preparation GD and necessary preparations for job placement opportunities. 90% of students from CSE and IT get placed. The average package is 7.5 LPA you can expect a minimum of 3.5 LPA. If you are willing to go for higher studies you can contact the international relation office they have good relations with other universities abroad, they have students exchange programs, research scholarships etc if you are not planning to seat in placement. I plan for higher studies and research after my Btech.

Best place ever visited. My Sweet College.

Placement Experience:

The placements in my college is very good and top companies hire students across every branch with a good amount of package. At the end of 3rd year every student is elegible for the placements in college. About 20 to 25 companies visited for campus hiring and approximately 700 offers were given across the college from every branch. 60 percentage of students got placed in the campus hiring program. Highest package is 24 LPA and the aveyis 5LPA. My plan is to get into a good MNC company which is related to Aerospace technology.
