Remarks :
Pretty neutral, in terms of friends made great ones there. Curriculum was good but very boring in the way it was imparted, all text book. Management was fine.
Course Curriculum Overview :
It did not seem relevant then, but now in my job i can see how relevant a lot of material was. I keep re-visiting the topics in my curriculum now and then for actual application. We studied a lot of economics and statistics that was imparted via text books. Some more projects would have helped. We never had any industrial visits as it didnt apply to us much. But visits from experts did happen.
Placement Experience :
Placements have been decent. I got placed well. But being classified as tier 2 college gives you average pay vs some other Tier1 college with same curriculum
College Events :
Alumni Festival, Marketing Competition, Conventions. Invite alumnus who are masters in their industries and have them share their experiences and insights with the students. Alumni is always a larger portal to allow students to meet and interact with alumnus and faculty
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Education in Delhi university is very cheap we all know that. We used to pay via cash to the local bank branch in campus at the beginning of the year. Additional Examination Fee was charged but it too was minimal and paid to the same branch twice a year before every semester exam
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
No, given the low fee was able to pay it in full. I am not aware of any special loans or scholarships since i never needed it.
Campus Life :
College life was a bit isolated since we were just 100 students in the course, the ground itself was large with a possibility to play sports. Gender diversity was good. Laboratory was fine met the basic needs we had, mostly relied on our own laptops.
Hostel Facilities :
I did not opt for it. I was a local resident. I did visit the hostel, there were separate blocks for Males and Females. A traditional building with basic amneties. Aesthetics were also average as expected from traditional dorms.
Alumni/Alumna :
Alumni tend to get disconnected after a few years, however some enthusiastic people are always there to reach out and help with placements
Admission :
I had done my bachelors in this college. Made logical sense to pursue my masters in it as well. Plus it met my needs of finding a university that did not mandate any residential requirements. I had to stay at home. This course was recommended by a friend.
Faculty :
It was a mix bag. Some were great some not so much. Most of the learning was self help. They were all pretty senior in their respective fields and good in what they did, bt text book knowledge tends to go out of our heads once you have passed some time.
