Remarks :

This year, a fire broke out in college which was a major concern otherwise it is safe.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It's a three years graduation course with has semester pattern likewise other graduation courses. It's a professional course which gives a unique recognition in the hustle-bustle of employment. It relay on research which is always an inspiring work. It improves your speaking skills, builds up confidence, as well as emerges you in your writing skills.

Placement Experience :

No, I am in the first year and I have not availed any internship yet. But seniors have engaged in various companies like BBC, India News, Amar Ujala and many more.

College Events :

There are dozens of society which hold various cultural and management responsibilities, but especially there are two big occasions which are celebrated every year, first one if fresher and second is annual fest. This is Punjabi singer Akhil was the key to attraction in the fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

This course has a very feasible fee structure. Annual fees for journalism is 27,500. Other courses also have feasible fee structure. College provides scholarship to vulnerable and deprived students. Students engage in various competition and exciting prizes

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

No, I have not availed any scholarships or education loan. But college provides scholarships on the scale of one's previous performance and family's monthly income.

Campus Life :

Lots of competitions are organised in the college with attractive prize money. Students take part and make fame in other colleges too. This college is ragging free zones. There are compassion and fraternity among students.

Hostel Facilities :

No. I have not opted for a hostel, and this college does not have hostel facility. Students come from a distance, totally rely on their personal and public convenience. Whether there are pg facilities near the college and student from various cities may opt for PGs.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes, seniors have a good network in various media companies. They are very helpful and supporting. Faculty also have a good network.

Admission :

I'm pursuing BJMC from this college. I had an interest in the field of journalism which provoked me to move for this course. I got into this course in 2019 after completing my Senior secondary education. I have all the relevant skills for this field. I didn't suffer a lot for admission as I had a good weight of percentage in 12th. I got admission in the very first cutoff.

Faculty :

There are up to 4 to 5 lectures per day. All faculty have good practical field experience and knowledge which is obviously a liability for students. A lot of seminars and workshops are organised for the betterment of students. Faculty takes the student into confidence and provides all possible support.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell of the college is very active. Students can avail themselves of the placement opportunities from the fifth semester. I have been selected as a content writer in the fifth semester. I was offered a 4.6 LPA in the esteemed company. More than 40 percent of students end up doing getting jobs. I have decided to earn some experience as a content writer and then apply for the MA journalism program.

Placement Experience:

For the courses like Architecture, Engineering, Law, Mass Communication, many big companies come for placements in Jamia. As my course is a Bachelors's subject under Arts, there aren't many placement opportunities. But I hope to pursue my Master in History after which I would try to get placed.

Placement Experience:

The placements for BA Program in particular are slightly lower as compared to other courses. Most students from the course opt for higher studies but the few who choose to sit for placements find it hard to land a job. Campus placements start in 5th semester and continue for the entire final year. A student is free to sit for as many companies as they like, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria like CGPA, course, etc. Most companies hire a maximum of 4 students owing to the small population of students at St. Stephen's. The highest package in 2021 was 18LPA and the average package is about 6 LPA-8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Around 70% of the students get good campus placements, especially in the private sector. The average package for the students is 6,000,00 per annum. The highest package offered to the student varies between 25 lakhs to 35 lakhs. My plans are different as I want to pursue my higher education.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good. It has tie ups with reputed news channels. But in our course, the college does not provide internships, students have do it themselves and they have to prepare their own youtube channel for work.

Remarks:

The management is an equally hardworking and efficient team like the faculties. They maintain a good relationship with the students as well as with the teachers and are approachable for both the parties. Their functioning has ensured that the college runs smoothly in terms of presenting itself to others.
