Remarks :
Close to home and was a government engineering college. It's one of the oldest engineering colleges in the state with a vast alumni base. The college also has a famous music club called calliphony. I am really interested in music and was an important factor for me. Other then that, for health reasons, I had to stay close to home.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses are not very updated. The same course as in all colleges of MAKAUT. Not really happy with the course material. Not enough industrial exposure because of the remote location of the college. Very few companies come to the college. The faculties are average. I wouldn't hold anyone to highest degree. Except for Prof DKK who is an inspiration in all thag he does.
Placement Experience :
Very few companies visit the college. All being startups and a few mass recruiting companies like CTS and Infosys. Other than that most of the companies are startups. If you want to get a job after graduating from this college, you have to be on your own accord. You have to get things done and apply to companies using alum referrals on LinkedIn and other platforms.
College Events :
There is a technical fest every year called Srishti which is organized by the 3rd year students. If you are close to the organizing committee, you will win otherwise forget it. The Cultural fest on the other hand is one of a kind. And one of the largest cultural fests in the region.
Campus Life :
No Wifi in college only in hostels. Library is outdated. One sports club and a broken gymnasium. The lab equipments are also outdated with half of them not working. Has broken tables in the labs. The library has books donated by alums and that's how the library runs. Hostel doesn't have wifi but has LAN wires. With most websites being blocked.
