Remarks :

This college belongs to reputed JIS Group, and it is located at the heart of the city, Dum Dum, Kolkata. The accessibility to it and the stadium. The vast courses in my civil engineering provided, both Diploma and B.Tech.

Course Curriculum Overview :

We had a vast exposure, right from Diploma to B.Tech students, to the industrial fields. The facilities were and are very helpful and knowledgeable person as many of them holds Doctorate, and very skilful in teaching. I can name a lot of faculties, who were very close. The beauty was, that other departmental faculties were also very close. Nafis Sir(left), Souvik Chakraborty,Baibaswata Das.

Class Size : 64Course Fees : INR 4 per year

College Events :

Inter college and inter departmental sports, Cultural activities and Fests, Tech fests every year. Sports includes, football, cricket, badminton, volleyball, futsal, indoor games like, carrom, chess, table tennis, computer games.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship from college to pursue my B. Tech degree after Diploma course, which really helped me. 80000 rupees in Scholarship. This amount helped me in pursuing the degree course, this was provided by the college.

Campus Life :

Wifi yes, one side wing of the floor dedicated to library, one stadium, 2 automobile workshops(reputed companies), full epuipments in all the labs, ac computer labs, water cooler on every floor, canteen in campus, underground parking, lift available,one govt. Hall for programs just adjacent to our building.

Hostel Facilities :

No, i haven't opted for hostel. But it is easy to opt hostel or PG's nearby. College has its own hostel with lift and fooding facility, girls and boys hostel are separated. Opting for PG's are easy as there are many around, within affordable prices, and college also helps with only fooding or hostel options or both, whichever is feasible to the students.

JGEC is good enough to choose over KGEC.
