Course Curriculum Overview :
The course structure can be divided into 6 semesters 2 semesters per year which include theory and as well as practical. Exams are there for both theory and practicals. exams are conducted every six months. as the admission starts in July month for the first year exam will be conducted including both semester 1 and semester 2. Industrial visit and project are also included in the course curriculum. On completing 6 semesters she will be awarded the diploma of the selected specialisation. Afterwards campus recruitment drive will be conducted by top multinational companies and also there will be an apprenticeship drive interested to perform technician apprenticeship can participate in the drive basically it is conducted by the government of Kerala itself.
Placement Experience :
The placement cell of the college is working very well and most of the top-scoring students are placed on different multinational companies every year. Many students of the college have placed in companies like Schlumberger, Essar, Hyundai, JCB, TCS, Ansaldo, Maruti Suzuki, Bharat petroleum, Hindalco, FACT, MANDO etc. Students who are interested in avail internships have a very good opportunity here, most of the public sector companies such as Hindustan machine tools, Bharat petroleum, Hindustan newsprint limited and companies like Camco, dealers of Hyundai heavy equipment conduct recruitment drive state widely e which is being conducted on Government polytechnic College kalamassery every year. This is a very good opportunity for the students to start a career in the respective fields
College Events :
There will be celebrations of all the festivals of state and there will be sports and arts festival which will be conducted based on different departments. Students of each department that is first year second year and third year students of a particular department will form a single group and participate in different events. There will be an arts festival every year. They will be college union election every year in which anyone can participate and the arts and sports will be e conducted by the elected college union how is the fee structure feasible
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Education in government polytechnic colleges are very much feasible. students who are coming from a low income background can avail scholarships and also so they are not needed to pay fees for the entire course. Exam fees are also very nominal. As this college is being governed directly by the government we can ensure transparency in the fee breakdown and also there are no additional fees levied from the students
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
While taking admission itself we can have government scholarships which allows us to complete education almost free of cost
Campus Life :
In this college, we had a very good campus life. There is a canteen at which we can have food at discounted rates and also there are several facilities in the college to spend our break times. the college also performs very well in different sports items such as cricket, football, badminton, Kabaddi, ball badminton, basketball etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I have resided in the college hostel and room are allotted on sharing basis of three Students. Entry is restricted to you around 30 students each year. Hostel rent was very low as 105 rupees in the year 2013. And mess fees were below 2000 rupees every month and is managed by the students themselves so that we ensure quality food.
Alumni/Alumna :
College is having a very good alumni network and they are helping students to get proper placement. The alumni conduct get-togethers and also provides guidance to junior students
Admission :
Admission to polytechnic courses of the state is purely based on the merit list, ie based on the marks secured in 10th grade. Usually, the government invites application for diploma courses in the month of May through a centralised allotment process. we can apply to any colleges throughout the state. We need to apply through the website of the department of technical education Kerala and need to submit the printout of the application form to any of the nearest polytechnic colleges. Government Polytechnic College kalamassery is the number one college of the state and it has very good results in the past and also there is a very good system for the students to get placed in multinational companies. Government Polytechnic College kalamassery also have a very good infrastructure and the lab facilities are also very good. our college also maintains a top place in extracurricular activities such as arts and sports also. The main attraction of this course is the very low fees and also the students to produce and income certificate can claim scholarship from the government also.

As an alumnus of this college, I can proudly say that our college the most experienced faculties in every subject. Help can be availed anytime Ande always help us to enhance our skills. While pursuing a diploma, emphasize must be given to practical exposure. As the college is having very good facilities for practicals on every subject. Practicals are being conducted on workshops and labs.
