SSM Polytechnic College, Tirur Admissions

Admission to the SSM Polytechnic College will be done by a single window admission system, i.e, Centralized Admission Process (CAP). There is no need to qualify any entrance exam. Candidates just have to apply in online mode for admissions. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

Applicants should have an Indian Citizen and a native of the State Kerala.
Applicants must have qualified SSLC/ THSLC or any other equivalent examination with the combination of Mathematics, Science and English as compulsory subjects from any recognized board.
The selection and allotment of seats will be made on the basis of rank list prepared by DTE.
Allotment of the seats will be published online on the official website of the admission portal which will be done in four rounds. After seat allotment, selected candidates must have to visit the allotted college for admission with all the required documents.
If there will be any vacant seats left even after the fourth round of seat allotment then there will be a special spot admission round will be conducted to fill the vacant seats.

How to Apply?

The detailed application procedure for admission is discussed below. Read the steps and instructions carefully to avoid the cancellation of application form.

Visit the Official website of DTE.
Click on the link relevant to the application form.
Fill all the necessary information correctly.
Applicants have to choose preferences for college and streams according to their interest. Take printout of the application form after submission for future preferences.
Before the last date of registration, along with the hardcopy of application form, applicants must have to submit the required fee and all the other documents as required.
After successful registration, a registration number will be issued to the applicant to verify the status of their registered application on the website.
Applicants belonging to open category have to pay INR 150 and applicants belonging to SC and ST have to pay INR 75.

Before filling the application form applicants must have the following documents as mentioned below.

Mark sheet of SSLC/ THSLC or any other equivalent examination certificate.
Birth Certificate as a proof of age.
Mark sheet/ Certificate of VHSE/ ITI/ KGCE, if applicable
Domicile certificate as a proof of citizen of Kerala, India
Community certificate or Caste certificate, if applicable
Required certificate for claiming special reservation

The Rank list is Made according to the percentage in the 10th Students who have studied in vocational high schools also can join using the lateral entry entry exam Application is through online by Akshaya Centre, for that respective certificates will be needed such as SSLC book, etc

Admission:

Normally qualification of diploma courses is SSLC/ THSLC. And my grades were so high. So I got there in the first allotment. There are no eligibility exams for this. Only on the basis of your 10th mark. We can apply there online when the admission time. And it's a very easy process., or else there is a help desk at college by college Union, they will help to apply for the admission. It is an Eided college, therefor there government and Management seats available. The admission opens in June - July period. Admission charge is very least amount. And if you got a merit seat... Then you can study there free. And there are so many scholarships too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Polytechnic syllabus is a practical skill oriented program. 60% of the syllabus is practical session and 40% is theory session. Syllabus is prepared by the technical education kerala. This is the 3 year course. It's professional and skilled course. Students are much study about the professional part of the course. There are 6 semesters in 3 year. In second year, all students must visit a industry and make & submit the industrial visit report. It's a paper of that semester also in that semester, seminar is presented by the each students with a innovative ideas or experiments. In 6 th semester, a paper called project, all students must prepare and developed a innovative project based on the course that studied.
